After falling in love with The Maw and 'Splosion Man, I'm pretty much open to whatever Twisted Pixel Games is currently slaving away at. These days, that'd be Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley. In an effort to get into our brains before the carnage of E3 begins, a number of announcements have been made.

Comic Jumper, in case you hadn't heard, is presented in a few various styles that mimic real-life comics. The third and fourth styles -- the Silver Age of comics ("The Improbable Paper Pals") and manga ("Cutie Cutie Kid Cupids") -- have been revealed.

The former can be seen here, and above in video form; we'll hear more on the latter during E3 proper. To get a good idea of how Comic Jumper plays -- and how the hilarious cut scenes play out -- seriously, check out the video.

Lastly, and this is really cool (to me, at least), you can earn one single- and one multiplayer level for 'Splosion Man through Comic Jumper. This add-on content comes in addition to other freebies: Gamerpics, Avatar accessories, and a premium Xbox 360 theme.

To quote Miguel Ferrer in RoboCop, "I f**king love that guy!"

I haven't found any of the Comic Jumper vids the least bit funny. Am I that hard to please or am I alone in this?

A single level in Splosion man level? They should do a map pack! Co0op splosion man was the best summer game ever. In fact, are they having another Summer of arcade thing this year?

I like it; the concept is kind of Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions while the combat is more Viewtiful Joe-ish. Economic times are too tough to go purchase games that I'm not 100% sure I'll like and get a long lifespan out of, but I'll definately put it in my Game-Q.

I'm conflicted this seems like such a hit or miss title.

@Stakmaster:

Viewtiful Joe was the first thing that came to my mind. I'll give this a shot. Both Maw and 'Splosion Man are awesome, so I can't reason letting a game with this sort of pedigree pass on by.

FINE!

tbh... I'm not liking the look of the game by the videos. If it wasn't Twisted Pixel I might just pass on it. It could just be one of those games that are a lot more fun to play than to watch though.
