Pre-E3 2009: Atlus + E3 = Win photo

You know a company is chock full of awesome when the title of their press release for E3 uses a mathematical equation that ends in win. Yes, Atlus sent over a press release announcing their E3 line-up titled "Atlus + E3 =Win" and if something is proven by math it must be true. If you'd like to divide that simple equation into a much more complex one we can work it out.

See Atlus will be presenting a number of games including Trauma Team, their new medical game, more Shin Megami Tensei than you can shake a stick at, their upcoming puzzler game Droplitz and hands-on with action RPG Demon's Soul. It's like a giant small developer orgasm of joy! And just when you think it's over they hint at a few secret games coming. Unanounced games showing up at E3! What will be next?

So the full equestion is New Trauma + old Shin Megami Tensei + new Shin Megami Tensei spin off + Droplitz + Demon's Soul x unnaounced games / 0... oh crap.

I'd love to hear that Atlus would publish 7th Dragon here, since it was worked on by some of the Etrian Odyssey guys. Or hell, just give me more Etrian Odyssey. >.>

I can't wait to see what Atlus has been up to and what they are coming out with soon. Right now Super Robot Taisen OG saga endless frontier is occupying all my time and I'm trying to find a copy of Crimsom Gem Saga since all the gamestops within like 50 miles of me didnt get any copies at all.

I'm not really excited that much. All the lineup games don't interest me and I need more info about Demon's Soul before making a conclusion. And I guess I'll have to wait till E3 to see what unannounced titles are coming up.

Yes, yes, and more yes. Call me an Atlus fanboy, I don't care. Right now I'm splitting my time between Devil Summoner 2, Persona 4, and Odin Sphere. I think Devil Survivor is looking hot, and with any luck we'll get some kind of 360 Shin Megami (Persona 5? Please!).

Why are people still askign for PErsona 5? First of all, this is Atlus USA, and they most certainly won't be announcing games ahead of their Japan office that, you know, actually makes the games. Second, the series head in Japan said he was tired of making Persona after doing three in a row, and wanted to work on something else. Jesus, people, you got three Persona games in just under 4 years, let them make something else. Persona isn't even their best series by a long shot.

Anyway, the Atlus and XSEED presentations are the only ones I care about this E3, so I'm expecting something absolutely spectacular.

People were looking for a Persona 5?

I was more than surprised we got Persona 4 so damn quickly. Seeing as how before P3, the last Persona game we got was yearrrrrrs ago.

I'm hoping for Super Robot Taisen: International Conflict myself. You know you want Megas XLR and Optimis Prime tag teaming Unicron and Instrementality Unit 01.

@conan-san
yeah but there is little chance of any SRW game coming over that has licensed characters. thus we only get Original Generation games.

@Shin Oni
yeah but they've been trolling SMT games out in almost bi-yearly now. Of course I'm pretty sure their big SMT game is Persona for these two quarters.

@Neonie:
Until I start seeing Atlus-produced promotional videos portraying their characters in humorous situations, I can't accept this analogy.

Come on, more like 2 Persona games in 4 years, FES shouldn't count as a full game. But your point still stands.

not that I mind, they offer alot of gameplay, and tend to be pretty fun.

Leave it to Atlus to pull off the badass press release. I'm really hoping for a good 360 RPG here. I mean REALLY hoping for it. . .

Unless there are any good JRPG's already out for 360 that haven't come out here, I wouldn't hold out hope for any of that. I'm pretty sure Atlus of Japan won't be making any, and Atlus doesn't tend to announce games for localization before they've come out in Japan...

@Necros: We're getting a PSP remake of the first Persona game this fall. If you count FES, it's 4 games in just under 4 years. Enough already I say.

I've always been a fan of atlus since shin megami tensei nocturne.
and I've always thought if Microsoft got Atlus, and the Dragon quest series on their side. They would WIN the console war... I am not gonna tell you how... but Atlus + Microsoft + Dragon Quest series = Win.

If Persona 5 is a PS3 exclusive, I will actually cry.
Tears of sorrow and not having enough room to fit another console on my desk.

Well, the only game I'm looking forward too is Super Robot Taisen: Original Generations for the PS2. That is if Atlus manages to pull this out of their hat of E3 tricks.
