Pre-E3 09: The U.S. 1 vs 100 beta will be playable next week photo

I can't believe how amped I am to play 1 vs 100 Live. It's been teased time and time again, and my interest in the game has yet to be swayed for some unholy reason, which is why I am so happy to announce that the U.S. beta starts on Monday.

To be exact, the first show is taking place at 7:30 P.M. PDT. This means we will finally be able to stop talking about the damn thing and instead get some actual play time with it. 'Nuff said.

Unlike our friends at GiantBomb, no one from team Dtoid broke down and ended up hacking Canada to get into the Canadian beta, which has been going on for a while now. If you're wondering what all the fuss is about, I highly recommend you go use their restroom and listen to their wisdom.

Looks like something I'd have no interest in, but the prospect of getting free MS Points means I'll probably play it.

This has the scene of Home on it... fail

@Covah

Except Home isn't giving away free MS points for playing a trivia game. I don't care how dull this is, answering trivia questions in the hope of winning up to 10,000 MS points is totally worth my time.

I'm so excited for this. Can't wait to play. Is there some sort of player cap? Or is everyone going to be able to actually play?

The only thing I don't get, is that it says the Beta Season is free with Xbox Live Gold... does this mean that after the beta, we will have to pay?

I just read through the 1 vs 100 FAQ. Apparently the more you play "1 vs 100 Extended Play" (not for prizes directly, probably no host), the better your odds of being the One or in the Mob, as opposed to being in the Crowd, for the two weekly "1 vs 100 Live" episodes.

Look, all I want are points, fuck everything else.

@Canned
No, it's all free for the lifetime of the game

@JL
CapnCrunk is right. When you play extended play (every night around 10PM EST), you get points. This allows you to star on the friday night show, which has a large cap for the mob, and 1 star.

@Chronic
Well considering it's a Quiz Show, the Prize is generally the focal point! Only trivial pursuit junkies will do this simply to show off their brain power.

What I want to know is:

Can two people (seperate gamertags, obviously) play on one console? I'm sure my wife would want in on this.

This seems cool to me, but we'll see on Monday. Don't underestimate the power of free shit.

This US beta is also open to Canadians again. Also, I made a video of this game- spent a while stitching together clips from the Canadian beta- check it out here: www.youtube.com/xenbudz

@akathatoneguy - not during the beta, but when its final there will be offline co-op.

I'm down for this. I'm not gonna go through the effort to get in on the canadian one since I have to guess at shit like who sells "Timbits" or what timeslot Red Green aired on in 1998...

I'll enjoy this when it comes out here.

Well, shit...offline co-op doesn't exactly help. So if more than one of you want to play *live* on your 360, you're screwed. I guess you flip for it or do rock-paper-scissors, or something?
