So, we all know that The Joker will be playable in his own special levels exclusively on the PS3 version of Batman Arkham Asylum. Tonight on Gametrailers TV's E3 hypefest extravaganza, they showed video of what it will be like to play as the most diabolical of the Dark Knight's Rogues Gallery.

From what the video shows, The Joker has quite the arsenal. Wind-up explosive toys can be sent to detonate on prison guards. Most importantly, his signature joy buzzer is available for use. When I play this game, I will kill absolutely everybody I can with this weapon.

Proceed past the jump to see the trailer. Is it giving you the same rictus grin it has put on my face?

"Exclusive to Playstation 3", to me, means it's free on Playstation 3 and will eventually be DLC for the 360.

I only have 360, but if I had PS3 I'd get that version for this alone. If it does come out as DLC for 360, I'd gladly pay for it as well. The Joker is worth it, especially Mark Hamill's Joker.

I can't actually imagine the Joker taking out all those security guards, I mean those guards must be stupid and weak to lose to the Joker.

When I was younger a policeman once told my class a rule of thumb for handcuffs.

At the back: Stop movement, hard to take off, messes up balance when running

At the front: Easy to take off or at least seperate with a sharp object, easy to run away with not to mention your basically giving someone who has just committed a crime a nice easy weapon to work with (As shown by Joker)

Mark Hamill as the joker makes me happy in my pants.
The fact that I get to play as him on the console I own makes me even happier.
And by Rictus grin, did you mean this?

Joker is a competent fighter really, but his nemesis is the god damn Batman! You can't expect him to fair too well against him in hand-to-hand combat since he's supposed to have mastered pretty much every martial arts style known to man. But against a bunch of regular dudes Joker could kick some ass.

Even still, in Joker's first comic book appearance he stunned Batman with a single punch and threw his ass off a bridge into ice cold water in the middle of winter. He's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve.

It isn't really that strange for the Joker to be taking out people with relative ease. While I wouldn't call him a martial arts master, his fighting style is is very bizarre and random, and he easily exploits his opponent's weakpoints.

Plus, he's the only Batman villain who has actually managed to kill one of the Batcrew (the second Robin), so major kudos for that.

Bravo for getting Mark Hamill in on this. This just makes it so much sweeter and I can't wait. As a couple of people pointed out earlier, although Joker does get his butt handed to him most of the time when going fisticuffs with the Bat, he's very willing to do so. With his brand of tricks and traps, it's hard for anyone to read what he'll do next. Batman is probably one of the few who can handle him. Prison guards don't stand a chance.

Anyone else bugged that this Joker voice isn't really the same as the Animated Series one? I mean, I know both are done by Mark Hamil, but I'm just kind of surprised that it's still different... guess he took out that cartoony emphasis for the game. Either way, I'm still super-stoked for this whole package. Though I wanted the 360 for achievos, I'm most definitely getting the PS3 version. This shit's just too awesome.

Genki-JAM:
I think it's because Hamill had to play up more of the Joker's comical side for the animated series, simply because of it's target audience. Since this is a T-rated game, he has the leeway to be more sinister.
