Pre-E3 09: Lost Planet 2 is looking good photo

The first Lost Planet was a great game. Unfortunately, I got really bored with it about a quarter of the way into the game and never touched it again.

Even though I got bored with the first one, I'm really looking forward to Lost Planet 2. The four player co-op aspect of it is what's really selling me on the game. Being able to blast giant bugs and ride in mechs with three of my buddies looks like a blast. Plus the urban environment is a hell of a lot more interesting compared to all of that snow from the first game.

Check out the brand new trailer for Lost Planet 2 after the break. What do you all think about the four player co-op aspect?

I actually loved the snow in the first game. It was an interesting and new environment that we had never dealt with before. A nice change.

Also, I got about half way through single player, moved on to multiplayer and just stuck with that for a few months afterward. Watching this trailer makes me wanna go back and revisit its awesomeness in preparation for this amazing 4 player co-op.

Yeah, my experience with the first game was sort of similar. I really wanted to get into it more, but just couldn't find myself enjoying it enough, and stopped playing before beating it.

Still looking forward to the sequel, hopefully its improved enough to hold interest for longer.

Dragon Hydra thing vs. tank/artillery? Sounds good to me.

I also stopped playing LP1 at around the 1/4 mark :/

As long as four player co-op involves a lot of enemy mutilating goodness, you bet that I'm going to see that as a high point.

@Damnation: I didn't hear anything about the earlier footage being from the PC version. As far as I'm aware neither the PC nor PS3 versions have even been formally announced.

That looks too good. If we get an early E3 demo, I could have a trouser accident...

I actually liked the first game quite a lot and also its multiplayer.
So I'm looking forward to this.

I couldn't really get into the single-player mode, but the online multiplayer was endless fun. Sticky frisbee grenades ftw.

As long as there is four player coop against giant monsters, I'm all up for it. I hope that vs mode multiplayer is just as exciting as coop.
