Pre-E3 09: Lego Rock Band makes me want to keep playing photo

I'll admit. I'm not a huge fan of Rock Band, mainly because I just don't do very well at rhythm games. Yet, the Rock Band franchise is just so damn addicting. And so now we've got this trailer for the game that just makes me want to pick it up and start playing again. You can see what I mean after the jump.

Back when it was announced, I think we were all confused over this turn of events. And I still am, to be honest. But I think in a party, when everyone is having fun and is a little bit drunk, making LEGO avatars will be a bit of fun, and will give you a chance to try something new, even after you've been jaded by playing Rock Band for a few years now. Hopefully they'll have Beatles LEGO figures as well.

Let us know what you think of the trailer after the jump!

Meh, seems alright, if I had kids I'd probably get it though.

Looks okay. Not something I'd get to play over Rock Band 2 or the upcoming Beatles Rock Band.

This is just stupid. I ask just one question. Why?

I don't get it...what's supposed to be so enticing about playing Rock Band with LEGOs on the stage that I don't look at instead of regular notreal people on the stage that I don't look at?

I would play it if the songs did not suck.

This trailer isn't showing good signs other than it being good for one extremely fubar-ed night, so the next morning you can crack it in half Papa-Burch style.

How about, screw the game, release actual lego sets of rock bands, and stages, and shit. Little lego guitars, fuck yeah!

I'm with ajaxender; it'd be a better use of both licenses.

Uhm..., are LEGOs really more fascinating than the amount of detail that goes into animating the avatars in Rock Band 2? Because while I will often get distracted by the realism of the guy I created rocking out on stage, I doubt these models which lack articulation will impress as much.

Would buy if it weren't for the damn legos. I like pop and shit, but I don't like how the Lego brand is trying to get itself into so many games. Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, Rock Band... are there any I'm missing.

Let it die already. Lego is for building stuff out of for god's sake.

it looks adorable. and lego games sell. parents eat lego games up. and they've been quite playable as platoformers. this'll will work well weather we want it to or not. gotta say though, if they do have the supposed minigames they mentioned that'll be interesting to see.

Le problem avec Rock Band en La France est tour les gens parlient fracais. On parliont anglais pour adore tout le Rock Band.

Also, seems...ok. I'm not a fan of legos though.

Do want. Seriously, I like the track list put out so far and I love Lego. Seriously guys, treat it as a track pack if nothing else.

This is awesome! I love Rock Band but the track list is too eclectic for most people and not enough female songs. At parties its always just the gamers playing while everyone else gets sick of only knowing 5 songs in the game.

This is an obvious niche that has been ignored until now they will make bucketloads!
