We're headed to an industry King of Fighters XII tournament tomorrow, and I'm pumped. I suck, and I'll embarass myself, but I'm going to do my best to do Destructoid proud. I have no chance of winning the grand prize, a KOFXII arcade cabinet from Japan, but I'm hoping that loud talking and some sly elbowing action will pull me through.
This new E3 launch trailer for King of Fighters XII gets me pumped up. I don't know sh*t about critical counter attacks, deadlock counters and guard attacks, but I do know about great graphics and button mashing. This trailer takes you through a quick history of King of Fighters games, and finally ends on XII, showing off its gorgeous hand-drawn graphics and gameplay.
As you know, the whole thing goes down this July on Xbox 360 and PS3. Check out the trailer after the jump.

I wonder how long it took the programmers and artists to draw each character and each animation? They must have replaced their arms with pencils or something.
if I wouldn't be going away through pretty much the entire coming July, this would have been a day 1 purchase for me for sure. I'll just have to buy it when I get home, and I couldn't be more excited! definitely holding my thumbs for this game and Tatsunoko vs Capcom. :]
although looking at that trailer I think that Street Fighter IV had epicer (there's a good adjective) trailers, but this one certainly is not bad.
