Continuing the run of trailers to come out of tonight's GTTV E3 pre-show special, Bioware has released a new teaser for Mass Effect 2. It contains ships flying through space, robots, shooting and more than casual disbelief that Commander Shepherd is still alive.

I didn't even make it far enough into Mass Effect to see the interspecies erotica that everyone got in such an tizzy about. Not that I thought it was a poor game, it's just something I tend to do with RPGs. Still, I will admit that if they got tightened up the combat a bit, fixed the atrocious inventory system and enticed me with some more extraterrestrial badonkadonk, I might be down to give the sequel a try.

What's that? Oh, you wanted to actually view the trailer with your own eyes? Well, if you insist, click below and I'll have it there for you. God, you're so needy.

I cant wait for this game. I'm playing through ME1 for the third time, this time on insane. Other then the Mako controls and one hit sniper kills, I love everything about the game.

Man, they are doing a great job of me wanting this game. Hell, the first trailer sold me.

Awesome, can't wait to see the Mass Effect series provide large deposits of gold/platinum/heavy metals where Bioshock will provide another System Shock remake.

I played ME1 for a ridiculous amount of time for what little content there was. I just wanted for there to be more, like Fallout 3. Except ME1 was better than FO3, it didn't crash every 15 minutes, and the DLC was free.

Anyways, I came.

The storyline definitely seems more 'grounded' than the first, which is odd considering how the first ended. I'm sure it'll still be great nonetheless though, even if the Reapers don't have a starring role this time around.

Hopefully we get to visit Earth this time too.

Hang on hang on how did The Normandy come down from heyperspace without one of those big old relay's?

@Furius

They have faster-than-light travel but even with that it would still take an eternity to travel between galaxies. The mass relays allow for instantaneous transportation from one galaxy to the next.

Mostly right, but no travel between galaxies. That said, FTL works within a system, but between systems it would take years to travel despite FTL. That's where the relays come in. Same galaxy, different systems. The Reapers come from outside the galaxy.

So Epic. I can't wait. I do hope it's longer than the first, though.

I enjoyed the game except for the loadings and the sameness of every planets bunkers.

Seeing as that was the entire game I guess I didn't like it.

But that doesn't stop me from thinking that I want to play Mass Effect 2 for some god forsaken reason.

I have no idea why everybody was making a big deal out of the sex scene in the game, it shall forever be a mystery to me.

The game really is as awesome as it looks. Of course I'm one of the developers on it, so I'm biased, but that doesn't change the fact I'm telling the truth!

I will be at E3 demoing it, the full demo has like 77x more awesome than the trailer! Stay tuned ;)

Yeah, sorry, don't know why I said galaxies. I meant systems. If you look at the way the Normandy would travel via the galactic map it'd use FTL between different systems in a given cluster of stars. Anything further out and you'd get the mass relay loading screen.

Looks like they got rid of all that silly exploration that just took up space and didn't add to the storyline. No more roving over rocks looking for some downed beacon in hopes of scoring some special ammo type or a "letter from home."

Hopefully Destructoid will have someone other than the Rev reviewing this one... I don't really want to see something get underrated just because it's not exclusive to the PC.
