Videogame power metal band Powerglove made Danny Elfman their b#tch with their cover of the 1989 Batman theme off last year's album Saturday Morning Apocalypse. In this new music video, they also teach an army of crabs and bats that it's not cool to attempt a hostile invasion of their mystical sky palace.
Tony Ponce (aka megaStryke) is a culturally confused, Canadian-born Puerto Rican who grew up in Japan and South Florida ... yet can only speak English. Going to have to heavily disagree with you here. I liked the Powerglove cover, but it doesn't top the original by a hair.
Saturday Morning Apocalypse is an amazing album. This track is my joint favourite along with Inspector Gadget and Heffalumps And Woozles. Yeah that's right, the Winnie The Pooh track. It's amazing.
My biggest problem with this band as talented as they are, is that the song they are covering ends up usually getting a few bars before they end up doing their own filler material. If I wanted original material I'd listen to a band that does they're own material.
As far as metal bands doing game covers I prefer Mega Driver if only cause your getting a 100% cover of the song in question.
