Power trip time: Unreal Tournament III Titan Pack details revealed photo

You may have heard that Unreal Tournament III was getting a major expansion. This massive bomb of new game play, maps and features is now in the works to be released, and it's called the Titan Pack. What's in it, you ask? A lot. And it's all yummy.

Unreal Tournament III: Titan Pack includes:

  • 16 new environments
  • three bonus map packs
  • two new weapons
  • two fun deployables
  • the "Slow Field" power-up
  • a new vehicle called the Stealthbender
  • two new characters, Nova and Kana
  • 57 Steam Awards and PlayStation Network Trophies
  • A.I. enhancements, networking upgrades, better mod support
  • client-side demo recording, new maplist, better server browser
  • mid-game mutator and voting support for PC
  • PS3: two player split screen and a new mod browser
  • and best of all: Titans. You can turn into a 15ft tall Titan or a 30ft tall Behemoth and smash opponents while you laugh your ass off

And get this: all of this is absolutely free. This is all coming to the PS3 and PC on March 5th as a free download.

I had the pleasure of playing through just about all of the new inclusions earlier this week, and our hands-on preview will be coming very soon. As a preview, I will say now that turning into a Titan is an absolute blast. You become stupidly powerful, and this can easily turn the tables in battle. And the Behemoth? Talk about a power trip!

If this hits the 360 that might be enough to rope me back into the game. UT3 was a lot of fun.

Hard to complain about free. This might have to work its way back into PS3 FNF for a week or two.

Split screen? Free? They must've sacrificed thousands of orphans. Ah, the sweet blood of orphans, all for our benefit.

when this hits I'll lay down Street Fighter 4 and Left 4 Dead... at least for a little while. :P gives me a reason to play UT3 again. it's not a bad game by any means, it's just not that interesting to me. I know no one who plays it. :(

Son of a BITCH! I just traded in this game! AHHHH! Why the hell didn't Epic mention this earlier. I probably wouldn't start playing it again anyways. oh well, when this game first came out I played this to hell anyways, I got my moneys worth.

Bwa ha ha,

Sony you'll never start making money as long as you keep generously giving stuff away for free. Take a hint from Microsoft and start screwing people

Any hint on an XBL release date? :(

@Noah
I believe most of the Titan Packs features are already on 360s version of the game.

This is for PC and PS3 so that we're not left out after Epic concentrated so much on Gears.

Splitscreen and Trophies will give me a reason to play it again :)
