Actor Mickey Rourke will voice the role of Richard Marcinko, famed Navy SEAL and author, in Bethesda's upcoming first-person shooter Rogue Warrior, set to release on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC this fall. Known most recently for a Oscar nomination for his role in The Wrestler, Rourke seems to be the perfect fit for the battle-hardened, foul-mouthed "Demo Dick" Marcinko.
“Mickey Rourke was our first choice to play Marcinko in Rogue Warrior,” said Todd Vaughn, Executive Producer of Rogue Warrior. “He absolutely, one-hundred percent captures Marcinko’s raw and gritty personality.”
We agree. We attended a preview event in London last week, and it was there that we were able to hear Rourke's voice in the final product. The end result is exactly what you'd expect to hear coming out of an ex-Navy SEAL's mouth when voiced by Mickey Rourke. And that means lots of potty mouth. Bad words. We've pulled together a choice selection Rourke's one-liners from the game after the jump. Enjoy.
