"So this is apparently New Duck Hunt that I found in my Dad's desk. He works for Hudson, but this uh, didn't have anything written on it."

So says the voice in the above video, which may or may not be footage of the long-awaited, often cried for Duck Hunt for the Wii. From what you can see from the video, you aim the Wii remote at the screen and you shoot ducks. It's all very exciting, and I can see why people would be so eager to relive such an action-packed classic.

It's hard to say whether this video is legit or not (we're going with "not"), as the Internet has been known to play mind-tricks before. Elaborate hoaxes aren't unheard of, and this very well may be one. Regardless, I can't be the only one who fell asleep while watching this video. It reminds me that while I may have fond childhood memories of this light gun classic, I really have no desire to play it whatsoever.

In his dad's desk, eh? Well, that settles it! THIS MUST BE REAL!!

That was sarcasm, by the way.

@ Mdvalenz and Topgeargorilla,

Yeah, I thought about Wii-ware as well. It's doesn't really look worthy of a purchase on its own as a full-priced, proper game.

He actually found it in Master Chief's dad's desk, but that wasn't believable enough so he changed his story.

It looks like they kept everything faithful to the original...which probably isn't the best idea.

I have always wondered why people have been clamoring for a Duck Hunt on the Wii. Not only is the Wiimote NOT a light gun, but Duck Hunt just isn't enough to be anything more than a Flash game these days.

Pssh...that is so 1985.

That’s gotta be fake...or a pre-pre-alpha version of the game. Obviously, it’s hard to tell because of the camera, but it looked hardly better (graphically) than an N64 game. And, it didn’t really look like something that could hold anyone’s attention for more than five minutes.

I don't really care whether this is real or not, but I don't understand the DH hating. Sure the game gets boring after a while, but add alcohol and 4 or 5 more people and it'll keep you entertained for hours.

I don't think it's retro goggles either, because there aren't even that many wii games I can say that for. I'd go so far as to say DH > Wii Sports!

Whether it's legit or not, there is no point to making a New Duck Hunt that plays just like the old one when Nintendo could easily just modify and put up the old one to play on people's nostalgia.

Doubt the authenticity, but even if it did exist god help Nintendo if they use the "New" in a game title again.

This stinks 'fake' like something else I found a while back.

So, chalk up another vote for 'bullshit'.

I personally think its a wiiware title. Hudson seems to be on nintendo's good side. since they have developed Mario Party for them. So it's possible that Hudson is making the game.
also developers get copy's of games from other company all the time. I know two people who get dev builds of games from company they don't work for.
