Possible Mass Effect 2 footage leaked, check it out photo

Looks like Insomniac Naughty Dog (Uncharted 2) and SCE Studios Santa Monica (God of War III) weren’t the only victims of footage theft at Game Developers Conference 2009. Recently, we caught possible Mass Effect 2 footage uploaded on YouTube with the heading “Mass Effect 2 LEAK from GDC Presentation.” The title is surprisingly clear, however, we can’t if the footage came from GDC or if it’s even real.

Ultimately, those are your decisions to make. I’m thinking it’s real, because it’s obviously nabbed from a raw product. I've put the video after the break for your viewing pleasure. Make sure you’re not sitting too close to the monitor, though. It's super blurry.

Obviously, leaked footage is pulled quickly, so check it out while it’s still alive and tell us what you think.

Whoot! ME2! It's going to be soooooo good! I really should play through the first one again though. The video is kinda on the uninteresting side, but ya, cool! Any news is good news I say.

Time to watch the Mega64 Video again!

Like the leaked Uncharted stuff, this looks like its prequel and in that respect is wholly uninteresting, which is exacerbated by the fact that it is awful quality.

This footage shows how the development of a level evolves iteratively. So it is supposed to show the evolution of a level, from the first building blocks, to the final shape, while more and more details are added at each step.

That why it "looks like pre-alpha", or "looks like the prequel". It was intended for developers, not general public.

I'm not sure on this, i mean it says gdc 09 and the rapid transit pods from the citadel are moving about, you appear ot be in one and that wasn't in the first at all. Plus the cover system and shooting look smoother and easier than in the first game.

Meh, its too bad the battles couldn't have been an X-Comish SRPG. Would've worked better imo.

This is another reason that press should not be allowed at GDC and it should become a developers only function again.

The point of the video was, as you indicated, to show how they go about designing and implementing ideas, not to drop a megaton about how far along Mass Effect 2 is.

I played through the first one 3 times I enjoyed the main game so much.
Hope they do something about the horrendously pointless trecking around empty planets for ore. Hated that but wanted to reach max level.
I'm so shallow.
