So does anyone know if each player can make their own set of portals? Or do they both have to share the same set?

Each of the robots get their own pair of portals- don't remember right now, but its something like, one gets red and orange and the other gets blue and purple?

the demo i saw from pax showed that both players have their own set of portals for a total of 4 portals to solve the coop puzzles.

The tall fellow gets red and orange, and the spherical dude gets dark and light blue. :)
So far the only portal map to successfully emulate a puzzle that requires 2 sets of portals to solve is Dyad. Look it up. A pretty awesome map, yet extremely difficult for me. I'm not good with thinking with portals.

Some people say videogame "journalism" is about little more than acting as a glorified PR mouthpiece for publishers, that our outlets exist solely to perpetuate the advertisement of products rather than inform or entertain readers.
I do tend to believe that when you look at bloated review scores on metacritic and the like. The industry seems mostly self serving. (that's why I come to Dtoid)

I'm a bit skeptical about portal 2. The first one was great due to the short campaign. That way it was able to retain its magic.
I often think..as hard as it can be to solve some of the puzzles, it has to take so much more to create them in the 1st place...I would be terrible at something like that..they probably keep a savant locked up in the basement.
I tend to think a LOT of that magic was the fact that it was FREE and UNEXPECTED. This is game will go down as one of the most over-hyped titles in history. I'm not saying it won't be enjoyable or maybe even a great game, but there is simply too much hype and buzz for a glorified puzzle game to support.

no. GLaDOS is a psychopathic program. She sounded gentle on the teaser trailer when she said that she had to kill the player.
Glados can LOVE, im suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure ! She want to protect their child from humans ! But a love of a mother is universal !!!! haha
I don't mind so much having the (short) ad before the ad... but I really wish the pre-ad had a volume control on it besides my "mute" button... :(

Yeah I never noticed the E10 rating, that's interesting. Was it just the machine guns that gave the original a T rating?

I don't know about you, but Dead Space 2's ad campaign got really annoying. Fast. It wasn't really funny in the first place.
