If life is indeed a neverending cycle and I get to be reborn, I hope my next time around finds me as one of those clever people who can craft something out of nothing and make it look effortless. Kind of like Aaron Skillman, who made the "scratch blaster" out of a Guitar Hero controller. There's no more surefire way to establish motherf*cking P.I.M.P. status than to make your own controller. Hats off to you, Mr. Skillman. May I play Guitar Hero against you in a bar one day and fail miserably, yet still be happy about having done so.

another useless invention, 1 it does not look like a guitar. 2 i think it's actually harder to play the game having a disc as the flipper. 3 it's probably not that hard to rewire the entire thing since inside of the guitar hero controller is just some wires and buttons. all he did was re-place the buttons on the turn table then attach the wires from the flipper to the disc. sure it's good work and all but it's useless and stupid at the same time

how does one just think "this game would be way cooler if it were a turn table instead of a guitar!" and then just go make the thing I'm pissed at myself for not being creative enough sad face

Collette are trying to win a posting gold medal? Because you are going crazy! Almost every post I click on in my feed is written by you.

Good idea, not a good game for it. I mean, cool mod, yeah, but it's not a game for a turntable. Now, if they made a game for turntables, he'd be in business. Until then it's just a hassle to play riffs for the guitar on a turntable. Do you see what he had to go through to get into star mode?

@zombie lover

It was not posted earlier. That was a community blog. This is front page. Please don't make me find the article where Jim explains it all. Just realise you are wrong and give Colette hugs for the article.

Posted on the front page is not the same thing as a cblog, zombie lover, but thank you for pointing that out.

Just the other day I was saying we need a turntable peripheral for Rockband. Linkin Park fans the world over will create a cacophony of rejoicing.

yeah, big difference, no one comments on my posts :)

still, this kid did a fantastic job, and created a very cool peripheral. why you'd wear it around your neck instead of place it on a table is beyond me. perhaps wearable turntables are the keytars of 2008.

Dont they already have a game with a turntable peripheral. Beatmania or something? The prototype just seems kinda awkward to play.

So, wait. Someone stumbled upon using five buttons and a turntable? STOP THE F*CKING PRESSES! Waaait a second... that was invented, 11 years ago! In essence, all I see is someone playing bitch Beatmania, with none of the charm, and sucking at it.

Sure, it's a great mod, but...I'd still rather use a guitar to play Guitar Hero.
