Yeah, that's all I got. That's all Famitsu gave. Their crap tease says that there's an announcement coming next week about a popular strategy RPG franchise. The next issue of Famitsu magazine will reveal the newest entry of this franchise when it's released next week.
Until then, it's guessing game time. The only solid hint, other than the SRPG thing, is that it's a "popular" series. Siliconera seems to think it's Disgaea as Nippon Ichi said that they would make a PS3 game. That would be fine, I guess. But I'm still hung up on another suggestion: Final Fantasy Tactics. Oh yes. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
Shining Force? Ogre Battle? I'll take any of these.

Also, I want a new Tactics Ogre. Or a proper Final Fantasy Tactics - none of this 'Advance' crap. Shining Force would also be great. I think what I'm trying to say is anything'll be good, just don't screw it up.

We're everywhere. Strategy RPG's are the shit. I never get to play them all, I take so freaking long to beat each one. I've only done Advance Wars DS 1, half of DS 2, FFTA, and I'm in the middle of FFTA2.
Christ. So many battles, so much upgrading, so little time.
NIS would (for reasons I don't comprehend) make another Disgaea for PS3, but otherwise I'm calling it now - it will be a DS or PSP game
I would kill for a new Shining Force.
I would kill for a new Final Fantasy Tactics, as long as it stayed the fuck away from kids throwing snowballs.
But seriously... please be a new Ogre Battle!
And if it isn't that, then it's a new Gold Box or X-Com. If I'm going to aim, I'm aiming big.
Hahaha so true, I couldn't say it any better. Tactics Advance had a good system, but often the shallowness of the storyline and characters made me go DERP.
Seriously, FFT or Ogre Battle would give me a full on nerd-gasm. Disgaea would be great, I love those games, but not as good as the other two since it hasn't been that long since Disgaea 3 (especially compared to FFT or OB).
I just hope its an actual console game. I don't care how good a portable game is, I find playing on a tiny screen takes away from my enjoyment.
I don't mean to bash the portables, there are some awesome SRPGs out there for them. But I only ever find time to play them on the bus or train, and thus I can rarely finish them.
I fell in love with Ogre Battle 64 and really liked the virtual console version of The March of the Black Queen.
Maybe after I'm finished doing a third playthrough of Super Mario Bros. Wii, I'll start up a new file of Ogre Battle 64.

likely a disgaea or front mission game. i love disgaea, but the formula is getting a little stale and even on the ps3 it isnt very pretty.
VC2 would be rad too. and only having played ogre battle a bit back in the day, id still enjoy a new one.
