PopCap games previews new game Pig Up on Facebook

2:45 PM on 07.20.2011 // Nick Chester

If you thought Electronic Arts' acquisition of PopCap meant they'd stop making games, instead simply reaching directly into your wallets for money, think again! The developer has revealed one of its upcoming games, Pig Up, and an early version is playable right now on Facebook.

The game has you, as a pig, strapping on wooden wings and flying about the sky, picking up apples and avoiding mean old bees. It's classic PopCap, simple and fun -- the only controls are clicking the mouse to flap your wings. You're given a limited number of flaps, which you can replenish by picking up apples, and you'll boost your score by collecting multipliers and flying higher.

Warning: it's addictive, especially given the game's built-in leaderboards which you can compare against your friends. With that, let me get back to playing, thanks.
