i gotta tell ya, i'm not feeling the awesome compared to when i played flower... relaxing game nonetheless.
That was . . . unexpected but thrilling. I mean, it was a very good twist at the end and really turned the control scheme on its head. I wouldn't really consider it art though, just my opinion.
@Wodashin, I think the idea was to play with the concept of "what is art?" The game begins as a stereotypically overwrought artsy game, and then suddenly turns into some Michael Bay shit. The way I saw it, the Ebert quote at the end was basically saying, "Hey, Roger, plenty of your medium [which you consider art] is mindless bullshit, too."
But of course, this is all very, VERY open to interpretation. That's just what I got out of it.

Brilliant. You really owe it to yourself to play through this at least once. Much like "You Have to Burn the Rope", it's really a statement about games in game form.
Wow... wasn't expecting that "ending". And yeah it's totally open to interpretation. My take is that for every beauty that nature has there's always dangers hidden inside.

That was great. It's going to take me a while to process everything that happened, but I will say that it was moving.
oh my lord i hated it so much, cursing 'indie' art games the entire time and about to quit when suddenly...
I love those indie art games. I was playing it as the site suggested and breathing with the character and having a beautiful run of it until the ending. At first I was outraged, but in reading these comments I realize that it is satire. What was something completely beautiful turned into everything that film has become.
I definitely expected something like that from the game. Still, it was pretty interesting. Don't want to say too much about it for fear of spoiling it.

If it makes you feel any better, I couldn't figure out how to play it at first, and I thought the ending everyone was laughing over was "but I couldn't breath with the wild outdoors so I went back inside." Or something like that.

At first I thought this was the Forbidden Land from Shadow of the Colossus.

As someone that plays (and enjoys!) the so called pretentious artsy indie games, I think pOnd had a good message. There isn't really anything to say about it other than "go play it for yourself".

Oh geeze. I'm face-palming so much reading the comments trying to eulogize it as a meaningful experience.
That entire site seems to have been suspended...? Any page on peanutgallerygames.com leads to an "account suspended" page. Any other way to get to it? A quick web search only turns up stuff about other games, or places where fish live.
