Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

This is curious. An unnamed, unsigned Danish developer has posted a video of its current Wii project on Youtube in the hope of finding a publisher. There's nothing to identify them on the page other than the username "ChronoDK," and there's no link to any Web site.

Just as intriguing is the game. The trailer is brief, but appears to show a cross between a flight sim, platformer and 3D puzzler, with the player controlling a small nugget of pollen as it journeys through a bright, summery garden in an attempt to find a flower.

Obviously this is just a sketch of what the eventual game will hopefully be, but it's already enough to draw me in. While I'm loath to start making comparisons at this early stage, if what we see here is extrapolated into a full game, we could well have something very similar to Pilotwings on our hands, with a dash of Pikmin in the environmental design. Of course, it could easily turn out to be a far-future, mech-based FPS with a circus theme and pancake making mini-games for all I know, but it's definitely looking like something far more subtle and sedate than that at the moment.

The trailer's also helped by some great pencil-and-paper-style design in the introduction, and a frankly beautiful score which suits the almost-painted textures of the game perfectly. The game also seems to have one of those "finding the epic in the small, unseen events in life" plots, and I'm a total sucker for them. Here's hoping we see more on this soon.

The vid only went online yesterday, so I doubt it.

You aren't thinking of Eternal Sonata are you?

I can dig the graphical style they have going so far, but I hope for the final game the environments aren't so barren...

So do I Dexter, but this seems very much to be a tech/concept demo. Things should get a lot more lush once they (hopefully) get a publishing deal behind them.

I think a game where we see flying sperm aiming to hit some gal's face would be more suited to this crowd.

Can't deny it looks beautiful and is the kind of thing gamers with pretensions of being arty are going to drool over, but I'm gonna have to see way more than that in the future before I get too interested.

I hope some publishers take a look though.

I played this game, and it's pretty dang cool. I'm all for these expirimental games and I think the Wii needs more of em, not just tons of traditional games with new (crappy) control schemes.

But yea, i gave the game a go and it seemed very very beta still. It's pretty rough, not sure how itll turn out as a full game.

Anyone else have no audio with this video?

In fact, ever since the update to Destructoid, I haven't had audio with any of the site's videos.

And, I'm not just crazy (I'm crazy and them some). I can hop over to youtube and watch the exact video from there with audio.

Now this is something that Nintendo could champion as their Geometry Wars or Flow (assuming the game is good) if they got off their asses and started placing the indie game infrastructure in place for Wii.

The PC tech demo is pretty nice, it'd be interesting to see how it fairs on the Wii, especially if they have to build their own 3d engine from scratch rather than relying on Source.

It sounds beautiful, but the game could be a disaster if they don't pullit off. I think that music is a very important thing in games, moreso than the gameplay in a lot of cases, but that doesn't mean that the game will be good. It'll be interesting to watch this one, i hope we get a lot of teasers.

There's a link to their website, where you can find a downloadable demo for Source.
