Polar Panic going up on PSN today, XBLA tomorrow photo

With this week's PlayStation Network additions moved up to today, Polar Panic is making it to PlayStation 3 prior to Xbox 360. A whole month later, and I still think the game sounds like it went through a time portal in 1985 only to resurface in December of this year.

There's been an unsurprising lack of buzz surrounding the game, which is too bad; Polar Panic looks rather good. As a polar bear, you push ice chunks around a grid while trying to vanquish foes and save your species.

Not the greatest premise ever, but it's presented in a hectic, arcade-y style that looks pretty appealing. It's priced at a reasonable $9.99/800 Microsoft Points. 0 Day Attack on Earth and the debut Trials HD DLC are also hitting XBLA this Wednesday, in case you forgot.

Are any of these things of interest to you?

Sony need to make these Tuesday PSN updates permanent.

Or at least move it to Wednesday...XBL always gets the jump on PSN with same week content and that may be the deciding factor for dual platform owners.

PSN gets it first, which means PSN is blatantly better than Live.

I'm waiting for 0 Day pretty feverishly. Already have the points ready for it, just sitting there.

Anything else this week is immediately irrelevant. Christmas included.

So basically this is an updated version of Pengo?

And yeah, why can't Sony update their store on Tuesdays (or Wednesday mornings for those on the East Coast) all the time. Surely if they can do it on holidays, they can do it all the time.

Between this and having to pay tax, I would never, ever buy stuff on a PS3 (should I ever get one), simply because MS does it so much better. It's painful enough waiting for PSP content...
