Pokemon Snap comes to the Wii Virtual Console soon photo

I've been critical of the Virtual Console for a while, but one thing that can calm my tortured soul is the announcement of more N64 titles on the ethereal game service. In a rare move, Nintendo has made such an announcement over a week before release -- promising Pokémon Snap to US Wii owners on December 10th.

Pokémon Snap is a mixture of on-rails shooting and happy photography, charging you with the mission of taking pictures of the cute Japanese demons. In an even more interesting twist, Nintendo has seen fit to add a new function to the game -- you can now save photographs to the Wii message board and send them to your friends. Hardly mindblowing, but a very neat little item and a step in the right direction for future VC properties.

Sadly, this is of no use to those of us in Europe.
