The idea looks so cool, especially seeing the warriors with Pokemon that represent them

The SRPG part looks cool. I'm wondering how in depth the city building part of the game will be (and hopefully it will be present, at the very least). I've only ever played the Romance of the Three Kingdoms games but I was under the impression that the two series were somewhat similar. Hopefully Pokemon will make it simple enough to actually play a full campaign.
I feel like this is something I could like better than normal pokemon...I'll have to see more of the battle system.

Am I a geek for hating Mewtwo's appearance in this game? All the other Pokémon, sure, but one that was artificially created in the 20th century?

I think it's a cool collaboration, but a DS game? Boo. Should have been a 3DS title. I hope your Evee can change elemental forms over the course of the game, maybe as a combat ability... Cool character designs too, very Fire Emblem.

Never played it, but I vividly remember seeing Nobunagas ambition for rental on the NES at Phar-Mor back when I was a kid..... probably won't play this though since I could never get into Pokemon or strategy rpgs for that matter. When Nintendo finally releases a real dedicated Pokemon for 3DS, I might actually go 4 it.
I'm gonna wait until it comes if, IF it comes out in English.

Uesugi Kenshin was the daimyo of echigo and a brilliant tactician, rival to shingen takeda, and upon his death, it is said that nobunaga himself remarked " The country is mine."
(I'm very interested in sengoku jidai but I'm no expert, so some of this may be somewhat inaccurate. Or perhaps a somewhat overly fanciful interpretation of history.....)

The visuals doesn't really feel like classic Fire Emblem (Cute GBA mini-sprites pre-battle scene, fleshed out, smoother models for battle scene), but the battle mechanics could be interesting. Here's to hoping it uses a Fire Emblem-esque evolution/RPG system as well (it actually works perfectly; Fire Emblem/Pokemon both use items to evolve characters and "randomly" assign points for a level-up). I'm not a fan of the pixellated models, but I'll probably get used to it.

This is quite an interesting way of addressing how Pokemon would have been utilized historically (as obviously they would have had to have existed within those times) before the advent of Pokeballs and what not.
It's also an interesting way of getting a Pokemon Tactics game out without simply calling it Pokemon Tactics.
I am however in the same boat as Freekopolis, why they chose to use a genetically modified clone of Mew created by humans in modern times is a mystery to me. Unless time warp?

Again, makes me think Nintendo has 0% control over what the Pokemon Company does. Which is cool, because they can come up with crazy stuff like this, but also, the Vita's coming out in February and there's no exclusive Pokemon title coming out for the 3DS.
