Would you look at that! Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition is coming to the United States in the form of Pokémon Conquest. Given the premise and that this is a DS game, I had written it off as ever coming stateside. I suppose that's the raw power of Pokémon for you.

Speaking of which, if you're unfamiliar with the Japanese release of the game and just want to know more about those darned pocket monsters, Conquest will go all the way up to Generation V (Black and White) with around 200 Pokémon in total. It'll be hitting store shelves on June 18.

I'm curious to see how this performs over here. Probably fairly well, given the name alone. Presumably, there will be plenty of younger players who are unfamiliar with this type of gameplay, which is neat to think about. Expand those gaming horizons, kids.

Tecmo Koei hints at Pokemon Conquest sequel

After the initial release and success of Pokemon Conquest, we haven't really heard anything about a potential sequel -- that is, until the Executive Vice President of Tecmo Koei, Hisashi Koinuma recently dropped a juicy hint....more

Review: Pokemon Conquest

When Tecmo Koei first revealed that it was working on a crossover between Pokemon and Nobunaga's Ambition, heads were understandably turned. While I'd have much preferred Dynasty Warriors, the concept was nonetheless intrigui...more

Pokemon Conquest features a Dratini Pass

Pokemon Conquest arrived yesterday (just in time for E3 travel!) and, while rifling through the game's bundle of packaging material, I found this little pass code. The code, which is good for only one use, unlocks Dratini as ...more

Preview: Pokemon Conquest

I made the harrowing decision to pass on Pokémon Black and White when they released, which I never expected to do, as an avid fan of Pokémon. It’s still a choice that doesn’t sit quite well with me (...more

The Humble Bundle is always good value for money but it differs for person to person; is it worth buying a bundle that includes several games you already own? Maybe, but I know I'll be getting the new Humble Jumbo Bundle for ...more

Crookz puts a '70s heist movie spin on tactical gaming

A tactical game with a '70s heist movie theme? Finding something like that at gamescom is about as unlikely as finding a videogame trailer with porn star Ron Jeremy in it. But here we are with both. more

Invisible, Inc.'s tactical espionage action hits Early Access August 19

Invisible, Inc. is going to be one of my obsessions this year. Enough that I am actually going to play a game while it's in Steam Early Access (PC, Mac) rather than waiting for the hard launch. Plus, it will be priced at $16 while in Early Access before bumping up to $20 at launch.more
