I would prefer if they spent one or two more years to launch B/W for the 3DS with full 3d world and characters.
The series just deels the same since gen 2. And that's kind of sad, I really used to like it. =/
I have to admit, I did not see that coming. I'm still really confused about how a direct sequel would work for Pokemon. I mean, would you have to transfer your team from the first game? Are you the same character? Did that obnoxiously inept Bianca die in a fire?
SO MANY QUESTIONS!
Okay, sign me up for White 2.
It looks like Kyurem was mad jelly of the ying-yang twins and wanted some of that spotlight...so he possessed them.
I'm pretty sure they said there wasn't going to be a Grey version. I don't think they've ever said there wouldn't be a sequel. If they did I imagine a lot of people would have taken it the wrong way.
One other thing to add, the games are lined up for a June release in Japan.
This announcement raises about as many questions as it answers, though. For one, it explains the two bizarre moves that were speculated to be signature moves for Kyurem, and (if memory serves) were never made available in-game: Freeze Bolt and Cold Flare, which are ice-type moves that paralyze and burn, respectively. It also partially explains why nothing was really done with Kyurem in Black and White...you just sorta caught it and went on your merry way.
But I'm curious as to how these cover pokemon will work. Will they be Dragon and Ice AND Fire/Electric type? Will they be forms of Kyurem in the same way that Giratina had multiple forms in Platinum?
...actually, I should probably stop nerding out :P . Needless to say, I'm super pumped for these. While I loved Pokemon Black and White, there were a few small problems that I think these sequels could really take care of: namely the unchallenging gym leader fights and the lack of level appropriate post-game content immediately after finishing the story.
Gotta catch 'em all.
I was thinking that they would be fire/ice, electric/ice, and it would have an ability that would treat it as a dragon. But who knows, fire/ice seems like an interesting combo.
A Fire/Ice Pokemon would be pretty sweet in theory, but it would have so many weaknesses that it would just make a cameo appearance in any battle before getting its ass kicked, hell,a Stealth Rock would probably 1KO the poor thing.

Sigh, call me when you make a proper Pokemon game for 3DS, Nintendo. Then we'll talk.
Even Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition looks more interesting at this point.
Now, we have a direct sequel? Hmmm...that's just got me suspicious, really.
Anyone who thinks this doesnt support the 3ds, or impact it, doesnt understand whats going on in japanese sales right now
And seriously dudes
port or sequel
sequel every time no contest
But it had absolutely no replay value. It's a Pokemon game! Those are kings of replay!!
But whatever, I'll be buying this.
Never said there wouldnt be a sequel, just that there wouldnt be a Pokemon Grey
tbh, Pokemon has never had a proper sequel before; this is exciting
