Jonathan Holmes, what do you make of the Runner 2 artstyle? personally I think it's gash and looks like just about every other 2D/2.5D platformer on the internets. First off, Jonathan Holmes is one of the best game journalists to get coverage at conventions. In all his footage from PAX, he shows actual interest in everything the games have to offer and shows real courtesy to those he interviews. I'm really impressed.

I've been playing Silent Hill Downpour on Jim's recommendation and have really been enjoying it, but I've always wondered- why do you hate Shattered Memories? You've often said this, but I've never heard you explain why. It was a departure from the traditional formula, but its story and way of telling it was, out of the series, the most satisfying for me. I read your reviews because my opinions usually sync up with yours, so I'm curious to know what it was about the game that drove you fucking crazy.

Do you think that the recent spate of kickstarter games that offer representation in games could open up the possibility of companies paying for advertising by exploiting this? There don't seem to be any rules against it which I find disconcerting.

Is it pedophilia or not, if your dog is outside watching the neighborhood children play and is actively getting aroused while doing so?
Yes, this is something we witnessed this last weekend, and though Frank (the dog, who is a Pug, btw) is a dog, we were wondering if he could be a pedophile since he was getting, shall we say, sturdier, while observing young neighborhood children frolic around him this last Easter Sunday. Jim you've recently mentioned that al-Qaeda was removed from a game after protests that it would trivialize the history surrounding the group. This strikes an odd cord with me since there are plenty of games that name historical groups and allow you to fight against and as them, yet no one seems to make a big deal about them. My question is has this ever happened before in video game history and do you see any other groups being censored out of video games for the same reason?

Was there ever a core gameplay mechanic or control feature that you didn't know about for whatever reason (bad tutorial, skipping the manual) until very late in a game? For example, it would have greatly simplified GTA3 if I had realized that I could use the triggers for drive-bys before I had nearly finished the game.
