I have a question for y'all. I have asked this question literally over a dozen damn times now, and I would very much enjoy an answer.
I cannot seem to be scared by a game, no matter how hard I try. I've tried the Resident Evils, the Silent Hills, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, some Dead Space, Dead Rising, all the Doom I can carry at once, and even The Dark Spire for Nintendo DS (Huge surprise, it's crap. Don't buy it.)
Honest, I've tried my hardest. I wait until 1 a.m., turn off the lights, turn up the volume, and fiddle with the brightness on the big screen, and yet I can't seem to get the true horror or panic that I hear about.
Should I try more of these games I try to find 'The One,' or should I just give it up and continue to enjoy these games to way I already am? (Which leads to me not playing most of them because they're kind of cliched and boring.)

I recently finished Bit.Trip Flux. It took forever because I'm terrible at these games, but love the music, story, and art style enough to put up with the misery. The ending was good enough to ruin my motivation for playing any games since then. I had a similar experience after finishing Mother 3, where I felt like there was no point in playing anything else after such a high watermark.
Has this ever happened to you? I'm sure in a couple weeks I'll pick something up, but for now I feel like I could stop playing games altogether, that I've reached a logical stopping point.

@Darkcloud723: You did say everyone. I have seen nothing on it, but I demand that they return to the red bandanas sans pupils like in the original comic! The only way to tell the turtles apart needs to be the weapon they are using and their mannerisms!

Question: What do you guys think about the annual Summer gaming drought? It seems to me that with episodes like November of 2011, where a ton of great games all come out in the span of a 2-3 week period, many game companies would be better served releasing games throughout the year, including the summer? How is it that a developer will put countless hours into trying to make a narrative as compelling and interactive as they can. Trying to create a gripping single player experience for the player to enjoy, throwing millions of dollars into funding entire art, music, and design departments and building entire universes that one can interact with. Yet "gamers" have come force the spotlight on multi-player deathmatch, something originally elementary as a isolated map from the campaign where you run around a play red vs blue? How is it that we have avoided what developers put artistic effort into in attempt to communicate, to touch a player, yet the average joe is more interested in the add on that lets him play grab ass with soldiers?
So Ireland just passed its equivalent of SOPA into law. Since you guys are so very knowledgable on the subject of SOPA, I was wondering if you think this would have ANY implications on me whatsoever, as someone who pretty much exclusively watches American and British movies and shows.

as a reviews editor i think this question should be asked of you, for every review of Hyperdimensioal Neptunia MK 2 and the first one a majority ofthe reviewers only metion the age of the characters and never really mention gameplay or even if the plot was good. while the first one was a definitely bad game the second MK2 fixed a decent amount of problems that the first had yet reviews keep giving it a 4 outta 10 (playstation mag) without even mentioning anything besides the age of the characters and the way they look in your opinion is this a acceptable way of reviewing a game?
