I have a question for y'all. I have asked this question literally a dozen damn times now, and I would very much enjoy an answer.

I cannot seem to be scared by a game, no matter how hard I try. I've tried the Resident Evils, the Silent Hills, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, some Dead Space, Dead Rising, all the Doom I can carry at once, and even The Dark Spire for Nintendo DS (Huge surprise, it's crap. Don't buy it.)

Honest, I've tried my hardest. I wait until 1 a.m., turn off the lights, turn up the volume, and fiddle with the brightness on the big screen, and yet I can't seem to get the true horror or panic that I hear about.

Should I try more of these games I try to find 'The One,' or should I just give it up and continue to enjoy these games to way I already am? (Which leads to me not playing most of them because they're kind of cliched and boring.)

P.S.: No, I will not play anymore 'classic' Resident Evil or games with a similar camera style. Who ever thought that up needs to apologize to me right now. I want a cookie bouquet, a card, and a hug.
