The game looks more and more like Capcom is targeting and trying to appeal to Call of Duty fans before Resident Evil fans, and when this topic comes up a lot of people are quick to tell Resident Evil fans that they should just shut the fuck up and deal with it.
So my question is, is it unreasonable of Resident Evil fans to be upset with what they see?

What do you think of the recent disconnect between the marketing of some games and the actual content of those games? It's pretty odd to see the developers of the new Splinter Cell have to declare that there's far more stealth in their game then is marketed, likewise it's odd to see Ubisoft have to endlessly go on about how the new Assassins Creed 3 isn't 'anti-British' despite the marketing having Conner slaughter the entire British army while an American flag softly waves in the background.
How do companies decide which version of a (multiplatform) review copy (i.e.: PS3 or 360) to send you to review? Do you tell companies your preferred system, or do the companies strike some kind of deal with Sony/Microsoft to send all reviewers one type? Or is it completely random?
