This week's Podtoid is almost completely unlike last week's -- it's varied, unstructured, and not even remotely pretentious the majority of the time. Also, both Linde and Samit are on it, which is nice. You can, as always, listen to it here, or subscribe to us on iTunes (which is even better).
Highlights include:
- Make sure to get your hands on a copy of the 1997 Street Fighter movie for next week's episode
- The above art was made by Luke Barnard
- Destructoid community lovefest
- The joke that isn't a joke
- No after-show conversations because the show was so damn long to begin with
The best question this week came from Darth Kupi, because it gave us all a chance to vent and make jokes at someone else's expense. Send your mailing address to reverendanthony[a t]gmail.com and we'll send your Dtoid swag bag forthwith.
And if you want to see Luke Barnard's full drawing, hit the jump.

Fuck you Canada
eugh.. guess that's right afterall..
Fucking awesome.
WILSOOOOOOON!
Holy hell, is that a legitimate commercial?
That was f'ing crazy.
I think it's a legit commercial, whether it actually aired is beyond me. There's another messed up one for domestic violence that I know didn't air.
:)
Bottom line, nothing I've heard from anybody has indicated that R.S. was having any inappropriate contact with children. So what if he was having sex with a young woman of 18 or 19? That doesn't even make him a pederast.
I know he was a douche and he was probably very creepy with his (non-underage) gf, but really...? If he was really fooling around with someone underage then just say it and give me another valid reason to dislike him instead of perpetuating an inside joke that creates a stigma that can never be erased.
So does this confirm a version of BonerQuest inspired by Madworld's art style?

Holy shit. That's definitely it. I just sent it to the Podtoid crew and Jim fucking lost it.
Oh and sorry for the weird formatting in my question. I had notepad open and wrote the question there, and it got messed up in pasting.
Fuck both commercials linked in the comments are freaking me out. Holy hell.
Normally, I'd have no qualms with merely downloading 720p torrents of MKV files that I can convert to video that'll play on my PS3/HDTV -- but NBC Universal is on top of their shit when it comes to torrents (I got "caught" in college downloading season 1 of 30 Rock), so I don't want to tempt fate.
In summation, I'll just check out season 2 of Chuck on DVD.

These games are all made by one person, occasionally with externally produced music, and all of them except one, Clean Asia, was made in less than two days each.
Making an indie game requires the ability to program, and a computer. That's it. Artistic skill is helpful but... well, Dwarf Fortress exists, nuff said.
Making an indie film on the other hand, requires a camera, crew, and the hardware/software to edit it, and then the setup to distribute it. At minimum, this is a digital camera for a couple hundred bucks, a free copy of VirtualDub, a Windows PC, and a hosted server. For something that's an actual "indie film" and not just HAWP-esque shorts, that's a film camera, crew, lighting and sound equipment, sets, props, scripts, vastly more expensive equipment to work with film, and connections with the indie movie scene to get your shit displayed and publicly available.
A small time indie film can cost in the tens of thousands of dollars at minimum. You can produce an indie game for literally nothing if you already own a PC. Even writing a novel costs paper and editorial time.
Also House totally owns.
