This week, Aaron Linde, Topher Cantler, special guest Conrad Zimmerman and myself talked about how awesome, or not awesome, Super Mario Galaxy and child murder are. We learned a lot about Aaron's capacity for horrors.

As always, you can listen to the new episode here, or just subscribe to us on iTunes. Highlights included:

- Der Sïëgëlpüntz™ by entrager

- The cast discusses Fallout 3

- The cast discusses Fallout 3 some more

- Should hype be taken into account in reviews?

- The cast discusses child killing...in Fallout 3

The sexiest question this week came from wolfdragon, the creature of legend, killer of men. Post your emailz information and we'll send you some swag.

"Should hype be taken into account in reviews?"

I haven't listened in to the podcast, but I'll give me two cents.

It absolutely should not. Taking hype into account in a review is ridiculous. Hype has nothing to do with a game, and it's really a personal thing.

I'm really sorry for sounding like I'm recording from a truck across the street.

I know you didn't ask me, but I'd like to see Lionhead/Molynuex take on turnbased X-Com.

I think it would challenge them, and it would end up being a very refreshing emotional take on systematic alien defense.

@Rev: Just heard that one of the things you didn't like about Fallout 3 was that you couldn't beat the game without killing someone (unlike the previous ones).

I haven't played it yet (its sitting on my shelf already) but in this week's Major Nelson podcast, he talks with one of the developers and, unless I misinterpreted it, he says that one of the things they kept from the previous ones is that you could beat Fallout 3 with only killing in the intro chapter, or whatever.

Don't you think its possible to do this if you have the appropriate skills?

Concerning the Gradius stage for LBP: The reason the ship follows the sackboy would probably be that it's bound to a brain who's instructions is to follow the Sackboy when he's near.

If you try playing this with two or more players within the ship the controls are so odd! :)

"I'm really sorry for sounding like I'm recording from a truck across the street." Hhahhahahhaaaaaa...

I'm with Conrad in that I even sometimes even called an ambulance if I hit someone in my car particularly bad in GTAIV. I like to be immersed and not tainted in the process.

P.s. Cheer up Topher!!

I can think of a sentence with the words "podtoid", "people", "right arm" and "give" in it.

Love this pod.
