I am genuinely not sure. Maybe he is both?
One more question fir Jim, Whats wrong with girafarig?
Other than that I <3 MGS1 and MGS2 is good.
"Whatcha gonna do brother, when Hulkamania runs wild on you?!"
"Hey pizanos, its the Super Mario Bros Super Show."
"If it wasn't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college."
"The president has been kidnapped. Are you a bad enough dude to save him?"
"I want chicken. I want liver. Meow Mix, Meow Mix please deliver."
Would you be any different if you never playen Indie games Or Half life 2? Also, when's the fight on the volcano schedueled for? I love Retroforce, but I would also like a two hour Rev Rant and a fluffernutter sandwich.

If you could go back in time and stop the Ocarina of Time scandal, would you? Keep in mind that you wouldn't be remembered for anything after you die if you stopped it.

Who is your favorite person who has been on Art Attack Friday. Also, What constitutes a good Female Charachter in a game for you? No offense, but your standards sounded a little high last episode. I mean with MGS, I think the women are a littloe over the top sometimes, but they are strong, vulneranble, and sometimes use their femonine charms to get what they want like any other woman
Jim
Would you give up saying the word CUNT just to be able to get a PS3 that worked both in Europe and Americafor free, a copy of MGS4 that works in both places for free, and time to beat it multiple times? Also, why are you so awesome?
And how do you go about purchasing/selling your games(i.e.-buy them instore or online - cash or credit and BS stoies if any you'd get from certain stores...)
he would have been so much better than the mark 2/3!
MGS4 is indeed an odd one,
giving us characters who flip between
instances of strength which are not outdone
by sexual stereotypes on screen.
In the first there was Meryl, who seemed fine,
but she often broke down in key moments.
But Otacon too showed to have no spine;
he pissed himself during ninja’s manhunt.
And then we have the beauty and beast corp,
who all, though insane, show a depth not fake,
but they all become weird, creepy ass whores.
When beaten they try to ride Solids snake.
I’ve no end here so to Tiff I say this,
grats with Adama now help me meet Six.
Second, with the recent news about PS3 trophies, are you guys at all interested in what they'll bring to the system? I'm personally not a whore for those things, but I do like the idea of achievements without a cumulative score a la Steam. And as more and more consoles/pc programs integrate these types of reward systems do you think these meaningless points will become less important, or will they simply be virtual viagra for people's epeens?
I mean, if we all played basketball as much as we gamed, we'd all be pretty buff by now, yeah? Or if we created art as much as we gamed, we'd have hefty portfolios by now, right?
If so, with the loss of this sense of dread or panic of ‘losing your guy’ do you know of any examples of games that use other means for adding value to the life of your character?
….
It seems GTA4 penalises you so little for dying, it’s preferable to being caught by police.
What is your favorite video game story, and what makes it a great story (as a matter apart from it being tied to fun gameplay)? What would this story lose in being translated to a non-interactive medium, and how does it compare to any favorite stories you may have in non-interactive media?
In other words, those crazy yet memorable levels in video games that require an alternate playstyle compared to the standard way of playing the game in question.
Has it ever been done right? What are the worst "water levels" you have seen in a game?
-Is there like an office building somewhere?
-Do you guys actually get paid for this?
-How does one get a job at Destructoid?
-Do you totally put Destructoid on your tax forms?
if anybody says the ngage, you deserve what you get.
this is from someone who begged his mother to match his savings to buy a virtual boy. :(
Also, I’m going to steal a question from someone in the Failcast post: What’s your least favorite game from a series you love? You know, like how we say “Prince of Persia: Warrior Within? Yeah, no one talks about that one.”
Seriously, you've come off your high now, the story line is ri-fucking-diculous, admit it.... it's a glorified 'interactive movie' with bits of game play scattered throughout, right, a very good game but not the pinnacle of human artistic achievement, right????
RIGHT? My faith in Dtoid is still shaken by this...
Also, why does God kill babies?
In short, do you feel the BBFC are qualified to review video games?
Are you pissed off at Nintendo's incompitence with online capabilities, and for the most part not catering to hardcore players anymore (they used to be so good at that)?
-Do you want to see Wall*E only because the Main Character looks like Toon ROB?
-If someone said they hated Metal Gear Solid, or any of the sequels, what would you say to them?
-Jim, now that you're getting off your Controversy High, is this affecting you any?
-Is there any chance you'll be inviting any Dtoid Members onto the show as bonus-people?
-Which ---IV/4 game do you seem is the greatest? How do you feel about the Fouth game in a series anyway? Do the games seem to get stale, or are they able to be revitalized in certain ways? Can you give examples of either case?
That's all for now!

What are your plans for Podtoid 100? A Dtoid roast of Niero? An MGS3 raido drama? Jim reading love poems about Nicole Wiebe? Discuss/make plans now.
anthony this one is for you:
i know you disliked mgs3 and had ill feelings towards mgs2 thanks to their respective plots. now that mgs4 is out and you love it, have any of your feelings changed regarding 2 and 3 with their own stories?
I know on a recent show, you discussed the fact the games industry was holding firm despite the low economy as part of a community question.
Firstly, I'm not entirely sure our community are the most objective people to be discussing whether or not the industry is holding firm.
I would also like to postulate a different theory:
I'm not entirely sure how the economy has been affected in the states, but people are struggling just with food and petrol bills over here. When the belt needs to be tightened, the obvious areas to cut are luxuries. The people who have only just entered video gaming and spent the least money, are also the least likely to stick it out when theres other things to spend money on.
Therefore I wonder whether the so-called 'casual' demographic could be the first to suffer from the lower economy.
What do you guys think?? Could the companies who are going for the 'easy money' be the first to bite the bullet?? Or was the question just too long??
Short Version:
Due to the economy heading to hell in a hand basket, do you think that companies concentrating on the so called 'casual' demographic may be burned because the people who have been into gaming for less time, are also less likely to invest in it when money is tight?? Or do you think this new gamer demographic had nothing to do with the comparatively lush economy we've been enjoying for these last few years.
do you think the DS would ever usher in a similar depression like the atari 2600 did all those years ago? would such a thing be possible in this day and age?
