Last week on Podtoid 31, Nex and I were drizzling chocolate on bundles of hundred dollar bills and shooting them out of a flaming cannon -- it should come as no surprise that a little change was bound to follow. Now that Nex is off at Portland State University teaching History 304 (Using Obscure Middle English History References to Pick Up Chicks), it falls to me to carry Podtoid along its straight and narrow trajectory straight into the everlovin' dirt.
I couldn't be expected to bring ruin to the expectations of our community without a bit of help, could I? This week I'll be joined by bloodthirsty stormtroopers DMV, Rev. Anthony, and .tiff, but that's not why you're here, is it? You're here for the cash. Do I have a gaming disorder? IS IT CURABLE?
The latest example is Bioshock, I'm like 95% into the game, right near finishing it, but I haven't played it in weeks now and I'm not really interested in finishing it. This always happens with great games and poor ones alike.
What makes a game better then everything else?
How many movies are hollywood gonna fire out at gamers before they realize they suck at making them?
Why do companies act so suprised when their game fails?
How many times am I gonna have to tell people that there is no better system but better opinion?
Why do I have to spend so much time reading about a game that sounds new but feels the same?

What do you think about the virtual couch party system? Should all games adopt this Halo made matchmaking?
I'll answer for myself. Yes. All games should fucking have it. It'll reduce the levels of douche when playing online and I get to be with my buddies! I get to play with people I like, therefore, making me like the game even more. It's the main reason Gears of War died the second month I got it.
I just wanted to know what DToid editors have tried Goozex and what they think of it? Is this the internet finally coming up with an independent solution to the scourge of the industry that is Gamestop behemoth?
Also did any of you listen to Voices of the Lifestream yet? I won't be till work next week on my MP3 player. Is it as epicly awesome as I am hoping? Well I figure it is, the only shit remix project they ever did was the Sonic 2 one...
Some sequels I can understand, such as Halo - Halo 3, there is a logical progression and a story that would be too much for the original to tell. But you have God of War and God of War 2, the game's story was told in the first one and you could have left Kratos there at the end as a god. But no, sequel law dictates that if a game makes enough money, you have to make a sequel.
This has me worried...with the news that Colette brought up this week, Bioshock is going to have a sequel? How the hell can you have a sequel to this game? The story was told...that should be it Game Over for reals.

Based off your own personal experiences, what was your favorite year or era to be a gamer, and why? I'm not talking necessarily what was the best as far as what was released that year, just overall, what was the most exciting/fun time to be a gamer for you personally. For me, it was 95/96, going from 2D to 3D, introduction of the Playstation and N64, and my first experience with PC Gaming, was a very fun time to be a gamer.
