I'm sure some of you have already heard of the Beeb's John Sweeney going absolutely s**t-bonkers in the middle of a Scientology exhibit on psychiatry, and how it's, y'know, an industry (of death). Photos of dead babies and the like scattered about the place, like you'd see in any mental health practitioner's office. He hit a breaking point and defended his sanity as best he could in a beautiful explosion of journalistic fury. It was awesome.
If you're wondering what this has to do with Podtoid, well -- virtually nothing, except that the John Sweeney fury is the kind of passion that we'll be bringing to the table. That, and I really, really wanted an excuse to use that graphic. John, you're my hero.
So, Podtoid 22! We're short a few sailors this week while we reestablish our routine, but never fear: you've still got a bit of Aaron Linde, a half-cup of Colette Bennett, a pinch of Chris Furniss and a half-gallon Ron Workman to fill your.. uh, podcast pie. Why'd I get saddled with this responsibility? I couldn't metaphor my way out of a paper bag. Anyways, our own Nick Brutal will also be joining us to bust some heads and keep us in line.

whats your take on Aeigis Wing? do you think if its sucessfull we may start to see more indie/user created content on XBLA?
Will we see more retrieving in the future?
What do you think about the fact that the dog has fatigue? Is this the new added element of gameplay we've (Wal-Mart Shoppers) have been waiting for?
To me a new RTS makes more sense. Rather than competing with oneself you'd be competing with EA/Westwood C&C3.
Will the photorealistic Gran Turismo 5 render Formula 1 unnecessary?
Will PS3 firmware v2.0 feature self-awareness?
As regards Halo 3, is there such thing as too much hype?
Is it just a way to push their other divisions? (Want a Bravia to go with that PS3)
Do they have a plan to make money on the hardware in the future? If so, when and how?! The PS3 loses $200+/unit and people are already screaming for a price cut. When is it gonna be profitable, 5 years from now, 10?
I just don't see how they're going to make any money out of these things, at least not in any direct way.

I've gotta say, the lack of Nintendo's support is really pushing me to buy a Wiikey and just burn off all my Wii games onto a DVD-R. Super Paper Mario comes out in November here. It's ridiculous.
People going completely insane is probably their own individual issues.
Also, as a variant on Kennigit's question, why is Blizzard such a cocktease?
On May 2, Kotaku ran a story (D-Toid also picked this up) about Dan Houser discussing the 360's hardware limitations. Originally the story ran with a screenshot of a VCN-type helicopter with the Eiffel Tower looming in the distance.
The image has since been removed and replaced with a sidewalk shot that by now we've all seen. However, there are still comments by myself and others remaining that indicate that there clearly WAS an Eiffel Tower image accompanying a story on Grand Theft Auto IV. I wish I had gotten a screencap, but I know it was there and it looks like Kotaku made an edit AFTER the fact.
I stand by what I saw, and hopefully someone here can be more forthcoming, without damaging any relationships with the highly-secretive Rockstar.
