Jim's convoluted stories and schemes are always hilarious. But the absolute best part is when Holmes summarizes Jim's scenario in his matter-of-fact voice and presents it as truth. It's just the greatest.

I have been passing on this show for the past few weeks now. I tune in to hear about video games and all you hear is homosexual, child porn, disturbing rhetoric because the Host finds it humorous. I have heard you mention you have children. Apparently you are not their maternal father. Then you have a good genuine guy like Jonathan Holmes who is stuck in the uncomfortable middle. Pretty pathetic, considering Jim Sterling actually has a lot of great ideas and could do a lot for the industry. If only his head was not stuck in the filthy gutter where he feels compelled to pander to teenagers for cheap applause.

Podtoid is awesome because it's not your average video game podcast. I used to listen to PC Gamer US until I realized it's a short, over-produced garbage where everyone on the show in their monotone voices get excited over YET ANOTHER MMORPG or F2P game and how much they want to have sex with Blizzard and Bioware. It wouldn't be so bad, if EVERY show was exactly like that. Let's not even get into the fact that they refused to even acknowledge DX:HR's exsistence when it was released, because why talk about that when you could talk about Leauge of Legends?
Or, I could stop listening to that, and instead enjoy myself a weekly Podtoid which is always epic in length, hilariously different to listen to, AND I still get a slice of insightful video game discussion too. It's more like a causal hang-out of like minded invdiduals than a "radio show with a very specific rhetoric".
That said I loved old Podtoid too, which was much more structured. It still had a bit of zanyness to it though, that made it fun and interesting to listen to.
