The new Podtoids, although I admit they've become quite laugh-inducing at times, really don't grab my interest like the old casts did. And now we're having movie creators? I honestly think I'll pass on this one - after a hundred and some episodes I've come to the point where I actually don't want to listen to an episode of Podtoid. Huh.
Just don't.
I'll know even more after I listen to this Podcast and probably watch The Room if I can find it.

Great podcast, by the way!
OH HAI MARK!
In other news, yaaaay! Podtoid! I've been looking forward to this!
also still cant tell if that was tommy wis-whatever or just max
when Podtoid responds to bad reviews by having Jim scream a joke: Priceless.
Why would they be apprehensive? Tommy was at the hands of Jim Sterling after all, I don't get it.
Seriously though, you stayed as classy and collected as expected Jiiiiim. Some people just don't get you.
JonathOn sounded disingenuous with his lavish of Tommy's work on The Room, but knowing him, he probably was 100% honest, I wonder how tommy takes that sort of praise...
@Tara: Don't feel too bad about watching Jersey Shore, just like Podtoid, it's a beautiful mess, the only difference is on Jersey Shore one spends the whole episode mostly laughing at them rather than with them.
I'm 30/120 through the cast, and loving as always!
Thanks
A lot of people think they like it because its "so bad its funny". I don't think they are necessarily right about that. How can a movie be considered "bad" when it gives you something you can't find anywhere else, and in the process, offers an evocative, honest expression of the creator's inner psyche? That's not bad. That's what film making should be about. That's totally what The Room does.
That's why I think that it's become such a cult hit. There are plenty of other "bad" movies out there. Thousands of them get released every year. Yet, out of all of the "bad" movies put out in the past ten years, The Room is one of the only ones, if not the only one, to build up a huge passionate following.
It doesn't matter to me if Tommy Wiseau meant for the movie to be amazing in the ways that it is. What matters is that its amazing, and its a movie that only Tommy Wiseau could make. That deserves all the praise I could muster.
Arkham Asylum for example, if you plugged in a 360 controller you can use it exactly like the 360 version, even the prompts change to the controllers buttons.
Same with Witcher 2 as well and a load of others. It's getting more common too.
I know where you're coming from. I do still enjoy Podtoid for the laughs, but I've had to expand my podcast rotation, precisely because videogames feel at this point like a wall dressing. They are there, but hardly the focal point of the show, most of the time.
