There has been no news whatsoever over the past week. Nobody, it seems, has done anything at all. For that reason, we may unfortunately have to rely a little bit more on listener questions than we'd like to, so soon after our question-filled episode from last week. But we will be talking about this ... and this.
Still: we need you, and would appreciate any and all discussion questions you'd like to toss up.
Just try to make them moderately videogame-related.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Did the Alien warrior axe arrive and how awesome is that thing? I saw it on amazon but I probably won't get that shit through customs here.
2nd, will you also get the kotabukiya statue of Bayonetta?
Question for everyone else: Are you guys into video game merchandising, i.e. figures shirts whatever?
What game should we hassle Samit to play next?
What are some highly praised games (or game series) that you just don't get the appeal of? A game that people lose their shit over and you just can't figure out what the big deal is.
For me, it's the God of War games. Cause I know you were wondering.
Like someone else asked up above, what do you guys think about the left 4 dead demake?
What are everyone's feeling on Awakening? I've heard it's roughly 15 hours, for $40, which doesn't mesh with 45-60 hrs for the original 60, but at the same time, it sounds so damn cool. Discuss.
Also, Avatar. Discuss.
More specifically, do you think it is fair that all games get to fall under the $60 blanket? I know there are a few exceptions as a select few games are coming in at $40 new, but the general price is $60 no matter what your product is offering.
Personally, I would love to have a tiered system. I know this is hard to gauge (as in what games deserve what). But I would gladly pay $100 for a pristine bug-free version of Fallout 3 for instance. Instead of wondering why the game crashes every 5 minutes holding back what could have been the absolute best game ever made.
Also, shoe size?!?!
also, A BEAR?! I must wrestle it!
Also, Mass Effect 2 using saved game info from Mass Effect 1. Is this something you'd like to see in the future? Or does it feel like a plug to boost sales of the original?
Also also, does Blood Bowl have any appeal to sports gamers? For that matter, does NBA Jam? Or is it more like Mario Golf with Warhammer in appeal and target audience?
I was at the gym the other day and the girl on the elliptical next to me was extremely attractive. However, I couldn't tell how old she was. Should I have gone for it?
General question/comment/observation.
Actually this may not be a question, but I was thinking about reviews the other day and it seems to me that most people really have unrealistic expectations for game reviews. I think this is fueled by the ability for a critic to review movies, books and music much easier because their content is apparent and, unless you're a slow reader, generally takes less time to consume. Have other media industries set us up in a way in which game reviewers will forever work harder and ultimately achieve less? Games with multiple branching paths, or tons of content generally rule out the sort of review a movie gets. It simply can't be done. Does the time a review has to spend on finishing a game, or the sheer amount of content and variables to consider detract from the possible deeper revelations that a critic in another industry might come across? Perhaps games reviewers are going about it in the wrong way entirely because of how difficult it seems to apply the old process to the new medium. Personally, I have nothing to offer as an answer. Any thoughts on this?
How much wood could a Brad Nicholson chuck if a Brad Nicholson could chuck wood?
also, The Beatles: Portal.
As a fellow Indiana resident living in the NW portion of this shitsplat state, how are things differently sucky where you live?
(It's VGR, since they released a Doctor Who video game...more than a decade ago...)
Also, this:
Also, Samit, #fucking play Portal.
Are there any retro games that Topher would like to see revitalized with the same gameplay, but new graphics?
Is Mega Man 10 a wrong move, considering the only logical thing now is linking the original and X series?
Mega Man Legends...discuss the shit out of it.
What is everyone's opinion on video game pricing? Is this the absolute limit that you will pay for games, or will you sacrifice more for games? Also in relation, will that mean it will be harder for games without much press or hype ("The Saboteur" and "Psychonauts) to earn a place in our video game library?
Last question: Current ruler of portable gaming? And do you think Nintendo will stop dicking around with redesigns?
Samit played Portal.
Things that make you guys feel pretty.
Please no more GOTY predictions.
What genre of videogame would you guys say represents the medium's unique qualities the best? The immersive nature of an FPS? The mastermind empowerment of an RTS or god game? The unscripted emergent gameplay in an Open World? The communal goblin genocide of an MMO?
For my money, I'd hold up an open world game as an example of how videogames stand apart as an artistic and entertainment medium. I know I've neevr seen an unscripted open world movie.
I'm just going to say that my dream would be for MGS5 to feature The Boss pre-Snake Eater. And I was disappointed that neither of the GTA expansions involved the Irish Mob, denying me my precious Packie.
