Podtoid is Destructoid.com's official weekly podcast, full of gaming news and opinions on gaming news. And also dirty language.
I'm convinced we're never gonna get a full cast for Resident Evil-toid. Still, that's no reason we can't have a good time.
I know for sure that we're going to talk about Brutal Legend and its not-an-RTS-but-it-is-but-it-isn't gameplay, and probably all the goddamn doubling down that's going on. Beyond that, I am typically clueless about what we will discuss.
So, yes. Ask us questions, and maybe we will discuss them on the podcast.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
If you were teaching a course on Gaming, or some aspect of game design like music, aesthetics, play mechanics, narrative, structure, characters, etc; what games would be on your syllabus as "Required Play" as course work?
Would you pick games that would be held as exemplars of the craft or cautionary pit falls, as I think both can be useful and informative when constructive criticism is applied.
Is there anything in the world that should never be doubled down for any reason?
Even quite similar?
Do you think that if Double Fine pushed the RTS-lite gameplay to the forefront right off the bat, the reaction would have been more favorable?
Obviously, destructoid is the best thing that ever happened to you. You're living the dream to review video games and many serious topics while having fun. Have you thought of any future goals that you are willing to work on which will affect your life and the Dtoid community?
And where did you guys work/do before you earned your title as a game journalist?
Isn't your question dependent on the people's opinions of Radiohead?
I did watch the quick look of Borderlands at Giantbomb.com and it did seem to be quite interesting.
Also, how come you never write anymore? I miss you so much.
I have a question about mgs4. The game requires you to go through the microwave room so that you can reach the place where you need to inject the worm Into JD. My question is why the hell did snake even need to go down the microwave room in the first place? He had no reason to go into the Microwave room. Otacon was the one who actually injected the worm into JD. Snake really didn't do anything accept get half baked. If Otacon really wanted to he could have went octocamo the whole time and did it all himself. Yes it was all dramatic but still.
Do you have any experiences in games where your objective was absolutely meaningless and in literal terms there was no sense in doing what the game is asking you to do?
Also, what is, in your opinion, true dedication or love to a game or franchise?
Plus, if the Zombie apocalypse happened, what would be your sole mission in life? To survive, to get drunk, to find really rare games? Discuss.
Plus, it was sad to see those empty stages. Wish there were actually bands up there, you know? I wanted to fight the evil with the power of pure ROCK. Not upgradable units and resource management.
Loved the individual designs tho...that Kiss chick riding a fire breathing heavy metal tiger thing, god damn.
While I'm enjoying the 2-D revival immensely, what do you guys think of the notion that just because a game LOOKS simple, it should be on XBLA/PSN/Wiiware for $10, $15? Is disc-based media no longer a viable format for such games? Personally I would've paid $50 for a 100% hand-drawn game oozing with charm like ABaHB, but I'm just a deviant freak that gets off on little boys hugging amorphous blobs with eyes.
I found that I really enjoyed Brutal Legend, except for those last two stage battles, yet I have still walked away in love with it. Are there any other games the crew can think of where you love a game, but it builds up to a last level(s) that you can't stand, but endure for whatever reason (maybe story)?
A bit of a HAWPCast crossover, but did any of the other guys ever write fanfiction?
Thanks guys and keep up the great show!
PS=No Samit! Finally I won't have to skip through the 'what you've been playing' part!
...
Here's one. As fearless game journalists you guys are in like the focal point of the hype deluge that surrounds the release of big release games. What games if any do you feel have lived up to their pre-release hype?
...or do think it already has?
How did the RTS-like game-play affect your enjoyment of your play-through?
Do you like playing RTS games or games with similar components as RTS games?
Will it always be just the first ten minutes, or can it be something like the first ten minutes of gameplay, in case there's a long opening cutscene?
flower could be an example of what I mean, but I hope that doesn't limit your imaginations
Also which does FPS/RPG better borderlands or fallout 3?
Shouldn't it be the other way around, since there is no longer costs for physical storage space in warehouse, media printing, shipping, and other cost factors.
The publishers also don't have to worry about the whole used games since every copy sold is essentially new and depending on the service more difficult to share with friends.
Sorry if this has already been asked, just one of those things that's always bugged me about the digital gaming movement.
