"There comes a time...when one finds himself correcting the shading on the breast of the Faye version of Samit...that a man has to consider what decisions in his life have taken him to this moment." - Grievetrain
Podtoid 108 will deal with two or three random news stories, and hopefully a lot of listener questions. Jim won't be around as he's presumably too busy preparing for his Aaron Linde rubdown session, but we'll probably find someone to replace him in time. Probably.
Either way, we need listener questions to fuel the less interesting part of our podcast, and that's where you come in. The best listener question will earn a Dtoid swag bag for the person who asked it, so hit the jump and start typin'.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Examples: Saints Row 2's Insurance Fraud was more fun that a good chunk of the normal game, finding all the Xs missions, Prototype's minigames, or just side missions in things like Fable/Fallout/Mass Effect that felt a lot more interesting that the main plot.
Anthony: have you seen the newest doctor who episodes and if so how?
Anyway, my question - where do you think the gaming community seems to have more of an affinity for these days - main characters who are squeaky clean, morality-laden heroes, or the sort of "Chaotic Neutral", somewhat amoral anti-heroes?
I ask because I've been playing FFIV-2 this week and I absolutely love the battle system, even though it's almost exactly the same as the original with just a few minor differences (Bands, Moon phases).
What are you're thoughts on "Animatrix" like animation, pieces that are split between different companies like Production I.G. and Bones, and then put together in one series?
How would you think something like this would work for the gaming front? Like taking Madden and having Konami, Media Molecule, Square Enix, Epic, and Game Freak develop a their own idea of a Madden game, and then put them together and ship em out for $59.99?
Is it a good thing or a bad thing that so many games are being delayed that would have come out in the MW2 release window? On the plus side, the delays should ease the finical burden on the impulsive consumer, hopefully provide studios more time to polish their games, and ultimately help these companies with their bottom-line. On the flip side, should one game have this much power in the market? Madden has (or had) similar pull, but it was always a summer release so the impact never seemed as severe.
I think that grinding ruins a game, because it makes it seem like a chore, however i do love challenges. What RPG's find a good niche between the two?
Regarding the recent study of why more girls do not play video games, why do you think gaming is such a male dominate industry?
Do you think that it would be possible to adapt Shakespear into the video game format.
What's sexier: Samit with Audrey Hepburns body, or Brad Nic

(Sorry if this gives Samit another excuse to talk about Beatles Rock Band)
Do these games still hold up in the modern day? Do you still affectionately look at them( perhaps through Retrogoggles)? Or are they just so damned awful that you cannot help but wonder what your young mind found enjoyable about it?

Bonus question: What's your favorite mechanic that you thought was really creative and fun to use.
Double bonus: Samit, do yours in your best Faye Valentine impression.
Aaron "Ein" Linde looks like that gopher with a human face from the Weezer music video Pork and Beans.
Can you just talk about how awesome Half Life is again? I always play it when I listen to Podtoid. It's a great way to unwind from a long day.
Also are any of you going to PAX?
Mine is the fat black kid, Thud Butt
also podtoid drinking game idea, every time samit mentions sports or half life 2/metal gear gets brought up you down a shot
Watchmen End is Nigh retail released for the PS3 a week or two ago. It came packed with the blu-ray movie. Would you like to see more dvd packaged with game releases? What if, say, for Call of Juarez, you got a free movie download of Unforgiven; or even if the Resident Evil cgi flick came with the collector's edition of Res 5?
Do you think a relationship like that would enhance the game and make some releases more profitable than they would've been?
