It's funny... I told my husband to hold off on buying Starhawk as I said that I bet it will be on PSN within 6 months - sold as the multiplayer component only. Sure enough, it is - $19.99 for the multiplayer. It's nice that they also have the single player portion too (an added bonus). I like this trend and next time I'll listen to my own instincts. I have very little interest in the single player and would have loved to have just bought the multiplayer only on release.

Now if they could just release games that way - instead of playing the guessing game of will they or won't they.

I thought Starhawk's single player was fairly enjoyable. Perfect length for a shooter, it doesn't overstay its welcome. So yeah, good deal for those who have yet to try it out.

I may have to pick up PS+ again just for the DLC. There's been some enticing perks recently.

At $12 Tokyo Jungle is an even easier buy, very excited about it.

Man, what I will say might make me sound like a spoiled kid, but I've been a bit disappointed with plus these last months. They gave us episodes 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead, making it sound like they were giving away two games when we all know that's only a portion of the full game and they're trying to hook us to buy the other episodes. Same thing with this Starhawk promotion, the game is super focused on multiplayer and yet they are only giving us the singleplayer part, probably to make us buy the multiplayer component. Oh, and they gave us Borderlands a bit before the release of Borderlands 2, with conveniently discounting all the DLC. I don't want to feel like I payed for a service that is only trying to get more of money, give us more stuff like the recently released Double Dragon Neon or others games we don't have.

@Script-br: I can agree with what you're saying about them giving us certain games as a way to entice us to buy the sequel or other half.. but whatever, I'm satisfied. Hopefully the fall and holiday season are better.

Tokyo Jungle for a few bucks cheaper? Sold. And heck, even though its only the single player, at least its not a 60 minute "full game trial", those annoyed the heck out of me. I'm looking forward to next week's update though, the service has definitely paid for itself multiple times over but this week's update was still kinda weak.

Huh. Guess I'm the only one stoked this week. I don't expect a constant stream of free new releases and 3 month old $60 games. Happy when we do those, but I understand why it doesn't happen all the time. They still want you to buy games guys.

Let's see how many free-ish games I've gotten from psn in the last few months: Borderlands, Walking Dead ep 1 & 2, Warhammer 40k, Pacman CEDX, Renegade Ops, Infamous 2, Scott Pilgrim. And I'm probably forgetting a couple.

Now let's see how many free games I've gotten from XBLA in the last 2 years I've had gold: umm... None.

Thank god I dropped my gold subscription. I don't play online enough to give a shit about their superior online service. All i care about is single player, and psn delivers on that front.

Plus is by far and wide, worth the price of admission.

If it wasn't for Halo 4, (or the fact that I got the 1 year on sale for about $30) I haven't had gold for the 4 years I've had my 360.....
