This week's PlayStation Network update doesn't provide much in the way of gameplay, but at least there's plenty of eye candy to look at.
Those a PlayStation Eye camera can enjoy either Tori-Emaki or Mesmerize: Trace for $1.99. Both are closer to interactive screensavers than games, but I'd say both are worth the money. Tori-Emaki's Japanese painting style (video above) in particular is impressive, and I'm sure you'll agree that it looks something like Okami.
The only other downloadable game this week is Blast Factor Bundle ($12.99, 325mb), which includes the full game as well as the Multiplayer Pack and the Advanced Research Pack.
Turok makes an appearance as a dyno-tastic 1.10gb demo this week. Street soccer fans will want to check out the demo of FIFA Street 3 (309mb).
There's not much downloadable content this week: you can grab either the MotorStorm Double Track Pack ($2.99) or new Rock Band songs from the Monkees, Blink 182, and Sweet for $1.99.

Finally, there are several PS3 themes this week. Both Tori-Emaki and Mesmerize: Trace have themes, as does CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN WARFARE, and PAIN adds a couple more.
What are you picking up this week on the PSN?
Borderlands looks neat, if currently ill-defined and gameplay-footage-lacking. You're on a planet and oops the badguys from Road Warror are there? Well, ok, but unless I see me some Jessica Alba in the chainmail number Tina Turner had in Thunderdome, there better be some awesome shit in that vault.
Don't know how to feel about Lost Planet. It didn't convince me to get a 360 before and I guess this one has more content, but I heard enough 'meh' stuff about the game that, two weeks from rocking DMC4 until my thumbs don't work, I find it hard to start caring about a game I didn't care about before. Anyone want to fill me in on Lost Planet's positive aspects?
The knife mechanic is okay, though certainly not original. After a while, that's all I was doing, slitting raptor throats and stabbing through dino-skulls. If that's the focus, why not just make it an OTS 3rd person shooter? It'd be a lot more satisfying and less disorienting.
