PlayStation Network Update: Heavenly Sword demo and RE5, MGS4 trailers photo

Earlier this week we told you that we thought we'd see Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword demo hit the North American PlayStation Network very soon. Guess what? It's up now, and available for downloading. The demo weighs in at just under 1 gigabyte, so get started.

The incredible Resident Evil 5 trailer we told you about this morning has also just been posted. You'll want to see it in high-definition, right?

Speaking of lovely trailers, the Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay video that has created so much buzz this week is ripe for the picking as well.

@linuxguy, don't worry, where I am, in LA,its really slow for me too. I am at 43% right now, but I expect that it is because of the swarm of summer break kids who are dloading it as well.

Btw, on the European PS Store, there is a demo for The Darkness, if anyone is interested.

Its short, but it made me want the game even more. I was way more impressed than I thought I would be, if the rest of the game is as good as this (short) demo, Sony may have a system seller on their hands. Did I mention it was short?

If it is gona be how I think it might, a normal length adventure game with very high quality.

Hence the 1 gig of space for short gameplay.

This game is amazing looking, and the fighting control is addictive and fun. And challenging.

Oh, and the sound. The sound is incredible.

wow, I am impressed... fucking A, its short but I played it 4 times to get a bit more the hang of it and... well... theres allot of moves... too many, fuk. You know how you play some games and you quickly remember 10 moves or so... shit this one has like 30+... I picked up one of the enemies swords, then did a counter where she tossed the enemy up, tossed the sword split second in the air, and kicked the sword in the guys crotch. @#%!!~

You can grab anything pretty much on the screen... even dead bodies, stairs and pieces of broken wood... The amount of detail is impressive. It is easy & hard at the same time, you get ganged banged allot :(

Btw, I almost shed a tear playing it in spanish ; ; theres 5 diff laungages + Subtitles.

Yeah, I timed it on my 2nd time playing it, and it took me 5 minutes and 40 seconds to beat it. As I play it more and more, I can do it in under 5... but I guess the 1 GB was worth it! At least I got a feel for the game, and its controls (although they were similar to God of War... kinda)

I love the move where she kicks the guys crotch. One time, the angle looked as if she had spikes on the soles of her shoes... Ouch.

Slicing the guys Crotch in HD, made me wince and smile at the same time. The Sound is beautiful and so is the game. I didn't notice any frame rate issue, maybe it's just me. I really can not wait to experience this in my home theater setup.

Oh and extremely short.

And someone do a SuperStardust HD review. People need to experience this game.

i can't wait to get my hands on this,,,if my download ever finishes.Damn you Microsoft,for spoiling me with you nice download speeds.Now if Sony could only follow your lead,i'd be checking out Miss Heavenly Swords bouncing boobies while trying out the camera movement so i could view the best crotch shots ;-}

beautiful, wonderful... combat that can be button-mashing on the surface but is rather deep once you get into it...

demo was too short and DAMN 1GB for that?!? really taking advantage of the extra space blu ray provides i guess.

one thing i really loved and joined this destructoid place just to comment about is the fact that the dead bodies do not disappear in heavenly sword. too many great games have bodies just disappear into thin air but this action game allows you to stab them a few more times and launch them at other enemies. so sick. loved the demo but too short.

check out this story.
i bought a PS3 2 weeks ago,brought it home,turned it on to go through the setup and it kept shutting of on my before i could even get to do anything.i take it back,get a new one,get through the setup and start playing Resistance Fall Of Man.so about every 30 to 60 minutes it freezes on me,i go online and a few others had a problem with that game so i think "ok it's the game" next i download the F1 game and i can't even get the 3 laps completed without it freezing.i return that one, so i'm on the third PS3 (had this one for a couple hours) i put my hand behind it to see if the fans working,it is but on the second one i couldn't feel any air blowing out...i think either the fan was not working or it just worked sometimes..
this is the 3rd and last one,if this one starts f'n up i'm just gonna get the money back and just stick to my 360 which i've had since just after launch with no problems at all.
i know all the ps3 FANBOYS will say i'm full of shit but this is the honest truth.

When you clear the first stage, dont go to the next one, try leaving some dead bodies and some shields.

One you kill everyone, grab the shield, and point @ 3 oClock of the screen unto the scenery, now check out how far that babe can throw people and shields @_@!

She could win the olympics...
