PlayStation Network Update: Everyday Shooter, Ratchet and Clank Future: ToD demo

     PSN

This week's PlayStation Network update is quite a bit better than last week's "mehtastic" (Hamza's word, not mine) offering.

Just as Nick told us earlier, Everyday Shooter was released on the PlayStation Store. A download and $9.99 US later, and you'll be playing the indie game that everyone's buzzing about. Be sure to grab the hip Everyday Shooter PS3 wallpaper  while you're waiting for the game to download.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is no small matter either, and even though this is only a downloadable demo, it's still a good preview of one of the better PS3 games coming up. Both Conan and NHL 2K8 are also available in demo form today.

Being a movie company as well as a games one, Sony never misses an opportunity to hit us with some downloadable videos and trailers:

  • Uncharted Behind The Scenes II
  • Folklore Launch Trailer
  • Fallout 3 Launch Trailer
  • The Assassination of Jesse James
  • Spiderwick Chronicles
  • Walk Hard

I wish I could get a demo of Everyday shooter before I bought it.

Also, I've never really played ratchet and clank so here goes nothing i guess.

Everyday shooter is a slower, less pretty, & downright boring version of Geometry Wars.

This game needs a hard drugs add-on pack

LOL @ Nero.

I keep thinking to myself: "where were these kinda games during my troubled youth?"

Getting ED Shooter once I pry myself from TF2.

Funny, I still haven't opened the Rachet&clank demo I've had for a month+. I guess I don't care?

Ooh, sexy.

And whoever calls this a Geometry Wars ripoff deserves to be shot in the face.

Downloading Ratchet & Clank and installing Conan as we speak. I'll see if they are any good I guess.

Exclusives are more fun, vexed alex. Namely because asshole like me can boast about having both Gemoetry Wars and Everyday Shooter.

Just tried out Conan. It was short and boring. Not a good mix if you ask me. That and everyone looked like they were wearing wigs if they had hair.

I've been playing ES for over an hour now. It is awesome! Though it only has 8 levels, it's surprisingly challenging, and the music-based gameplay is just incredible. I highly reccomend it for people who have second thoughts about buying it.

I have played it as well. The game is fun, addicting and sounds great.
THE CONTROLS SUCK. The sixaxis is a piece of garbage. How can you mess up a robotron control scheme? use a sixaxis. I am not saying this as some xbox fanboy either. the dual analog sticks suck for this game.

I just tried Conan too. It's nothing more than a low-toned version of God of War. The graphics sucked, the voice/acting sucked, the controls were decent (even though you had no control over the camera)... Well, this is only a demo. Hopefully the real thing will be/look/play much better.

Control problems? Huh? No, ES is just flat out a great game. You can tinker with the control speed too in options. Back to ES!

Look, truth is, ed shooter is a "Smash TV" meets psychedelic mushrooms in a dark room and they have weird bi sex. It's fun, and the principle is basic enough, but it made me dizzy at first... now on the other hand, I'm wandering around the house going "wah wah wah, wah wanhgggg, wa wa wa"... I'ts worth 5.99 if you don't have any reason to like old top down arcade games and LSD, and 12.99 if your a fan of some of the classics, in a revamped format and licking toads...

I'm pretty sure you can only fire in 8 directions. If you shoot with the face buttons* it's much more fun.

Props to that wacky canuck.

*Mr. Mak does

Oh, and I bought R&C - demo unseen. Cool game.
