PlayStation Network Update: Christmas edition photo

This week's PlayStation Store update is pretty big, and it includes several new games, videos, and free add-on downloads.

There's four downloadable games this week, and two of them require the PlayStation Eye. Trials of Topoq is a rolling marble type game controlled by your bodily movements. It sounds complicated, but its quite fun once you get the hang of it. The other, Mesmerize: Distort ($1.99) isn't as much a game as it is a virtual acid trip. They call it an "interactive experience."

The house racing game Toy Home (629mb) is now available for $9.99, as is Snakeball. In Snakeball, you "glide across the dazzling disco floor on your hoversnake, collecting balls and scoring goals." Wow, sounds pervy!

Most of the add-on game content is free this week. There's the free Folklore content we mentioned earlier, as well as a free MotorStorm Holiday Skin and a free Guitar Hero III song (“We Three Kings”). High Stakes: Poker Edition has two new free game add-ons as well.

$7.99 will get you the new Warhawk: Omega Dawn Booster Pack, which adds a new KT-424 Combat Dropship and the night time Omega Factory Battlefield. $1.99 will buy you new Rock Band songs from Weezer, Radiohead, or The Pretenders.

Lastly, as far as games go, the PS1 classic Warhawk is available for $5.99 for PSP and PS3, and the Blacksite: Area 51 Demo is available as a 931mb download.

Hit the jump for a list of new videos as well as the PlayStation Store for PC updates.

Don't forget your PS3 themes. There's a Warhawk theme, a PAIN Santa theme, and a PAIN Cookie theme available this week.

For the PlayStation Store for PC update, the main addition this week is SOCOM US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo ($14.99). Of course, Warhawk ($5.99) is also available here.

Spykron - totem ball sucks...hard, but it is an absolute blast while drunk.

Blacksite demo is awful, the game is super generic, and the frame rate is a joke. Stay far away from this..

"Mesmerize: Distort"

Sounds like the Nuon on the 360. Why would we pay for that?

Awesome update this week with lots of cool free stuff. Pumped about the new Folklore add-ons because that game kicks ass! The Blacksite demo was super short and bad! Not even worth the d/l.

Guess I'll stay away from that BSA51 demo, I don't think I was going to get anywhere near it anyway though.

Hm.
Didn't they figure out that you don't need a playstation 3 to work the Playstation eye?

Where the hell is the Call of Duty 4 Christmas map for PS3 and 360? That sucks.

Yep, I picked up Omega Dawn. The size of that new map is fucking intimidatingly huge.

Also, I highly recommend the 607 MB Shakira clip from her “Oral Fixation” tour. You can’t go wrong with ten and a half minutes of ass-shaking in HD.
