PlayStation Network Update: better late than never edition photo

I'll sneak this one in and hope the Chief doesn't notice that it's a day late.

There's only one game in the PlayStation Network update for this week, and that game is the insane human slingshotting title Pain. For only $9.99, you can fire humans at buildings, cars, and even explosives. This wacky game is a blast and a great stress reliever.

What this week lacks in games is made up for in downloadable content. Spend your hard earned Christmas dollars on the full expansion to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Shivering Isles, which weighs in at 1.20GB and $29.99. Penny pinchers can pick from several Rock Band songs ($1.99), a Resistance: FOM: Map Pack 2 ($4.99), or the MotorStorm Vehicle and Skin Pack ($1.99). If things are really tight this holiday, there's always the completely free Guitar Heroes III: Boss Battle Track Pack. The 77mb download contains songs like  “Devil Went Down to Georgia” by The Charlie Daniels Band. Woo.

As always, there's a pile of videos to download, though this week's pile is much smaller than last week's.

  • Stop Loss Trailer
  • Resident Evil: Extinction trailer
  • Memoirs of a Geisha trailer
  • Ratchet & Clank BTS - Weapons
  • Timeshift FPS Differently Video 2
Lastly, enjoy several free wallpapers from Pain, Aquatopia, and Resistance: Fall of Man.

Late post is late. But anyway, maybe you should've included that there's a patch for Assassins Creed now for PS3. That'll make late post good post.

It's not a bad game, just played it for two hours without knowing it. But they could've done SO MUCH more with this game.

I was intrigued by Pain...until I saw that they’re asking $10 for it. It kinda just looks like a physics sim to me: something to mess around with, but nothing that would hold my interest for too long. If they drop the price to maybe $7, though, I’d probably pick it up.
