Today Sony announces PlayStation Network PLAY, a new promo line-up for four summer action titles. Summer, huh? That makes me think of another summertime promotion from another company. Anyway, the games within PSN PLAY are:

  • Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition (August 23)
  • The Baconing (August 30)
  • Bloodrayne: Betrayal (September 6)
  • Renegade Ops (September 13)

All four games will be priced at $14.99 each.

As a bonus gift, those that purchase all four PLAY titles in the PlayStation Store will receive a voucher code for Sony Online Entertainment's PAYDAY: The Heist. Totally free.

With each pre-order from the PLAY program made, you will receive a PS3 theme. PLAY also offers gamers a separate gift with each purchase, and we hear that it's DLC for each game. If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber you will receive an automatic 20% off every PLAY title.

Pre-orders for PSN PLAY start August 9.

'I love this game. It's sooo awesome!'

Techland did its best to hold off on handing out Dying Light review codes until the day before release. That's never good. But Techland doesn't need to cherry pick reviews for box quotes when it can pay for them. No, this is the future. And the future is sooo awesome!more

Joystiq is reportedly shutting down

I stayed in bed longer than I should have this morning. It was an unlikely occurrence because I woke up rejuvenated and feeling great, ready to take on the world. As I lay in bed and opened Twitter on my phone, I was hit by a...more
