ANGRY BIRDS! That's ONE out of 200,000+ apps on the iTunes store! I still haven't seen a mini yet that has made me think "I need this".

PlayStation minis: 1 million downloaded
Today Sony has announced that the downloadable games they call minis has reached the one million downloads mark. Between the US and PAL territories, on both the PSP and the PS3, a million little games have been pulled down since the 2009 launch. Right now there's about 85 titles. If you're not in on the minis game yet, the EU PlayStation Blog gives us a list of the top ten most downloaded minis:
I didn't realize that minis were doing that well. Perhaps the low price point has them doing well. Keep it up! Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I didn't realize it either. Good for them though. Age of zombies, and fieldrunners are fun. And its free for PS+ users. Yeah, I'm one. Still haven't picked up any minis, but Age of Zombies looks cool. Anything that has already released on iPhone for cheaper is a definite not buy for me. I'm not really sure if 1 million downloads actually means its a good service. As a comparison didn't Battlefield 1943 alone sell 1 million downloads in under a year. Only 1 million as a total accumulation of games that include a Tetris game really isn't impressive to me. Maybe it's just me, but that doesn't seem too impresive. I guess it's not bad, but it's not like it has even scratched the app store It hasn't scratched the app store because they're the only option the millions of iPhone douchebags have for gaming! Ps3 and psp users have REAL games to play too.
Typed on my android, the one that's as powerful as an iPad. I thought that there was a lot of controversy over the prices NOT being low. Did I miss the resolution to that? Angry Birds sold like 2 million on the App Store.
ANGRY BIRDS! That's ONE out of 200,000+ apps on the iTunes store! I still haven't seen a mini yet that has made me think "I need this". It seems to me that they only got their million "downloads" because of PSN+ users getting the top pick free. 9 Months for 1 million minis. 1 million downloads is absolutely miserable considering how long they (85 games!) have been available. I don't see why Sony are trying (and failing) to make the PSP a competitor to the iPhone/Pod. The PSP is an excellent device, but don't try to make it do things it isn't suitable for. 5:00 AM on 04.16.2013 All Grand Theft Auto titles discounted on PSNThere's a big sale on every Grand Theft Auto title available through the PlayStation Network today to get people pumped for Grand Theft Auto V.
