yes, Jim..agreed. I tried home not once but three times, thinking the crap may not stink as much with more time....But i was wrong. BORING. I mean, how long can you do the funky chicken and the ROBOT, and watch load times before you fall asleep, i did. Lame, and whatthe bummer is, they promised something that they can't deliver obviously --I was excited for it because Sony made it sound so cool, scam!

The last time I visited Home was the day after it was released whenever the hell that was. Does shit normally stay in Beta that long? For fuck's sake.

If they finally put those Big Tv's in your room and watch stuff from your hard drive then it would be awesome.
I actualy like home but I can't use it because I didn't update my ps3 after 321 firmware. I have 150$ in my wallet on the psn and a few 50$ psn cards I haven't used yet. Incredibly lame I can't use my first gen ps3. The xbox 360 I got I've spent a shit ton on is just crap It just got some dumb error e407 something so I can't even use that to play games. Ugh rant over sorry.

Fuck home. The only thing that ever interested me on it was the Siren Blood Curse minigame/themed area, which they never released for the European version of home. So, yeah, fuck home.
did anybody know that Home is filled with a shit load of mini-games, and shit load of virtual items that you can buy or win, and the last I heard there are about 12 million people using Home. If 12 million people use it on a daily basis how is it shit? By the way it has come a long way since the start of the open beta.

For a free service, it's pretty cool. I rarely use it, but it's nice to drop into for the e3 speeches and fun to explore the Japanese version (which is head and shoulders above the euro and us versions for some reason) I would never pay for it, but as a free toy it's hard to moan about.
With any luck the proper release will see the tv's added as that was a major point in the pre beta information. Me and my buddies could get together in my home apartment and watch videos off of my hdd - that would be win.

Tons of potential, and the E3 area they had last year was cool, but until I can take my PSHome avatar into games like Tiger Woods, or even Resistance multiplayer it will always be kinda shit.
I tried Home. It seemed pretty crap to me. Or, to put it another way, it's not that it was totally crap, it was just totally unnecessary. I have precious little time to devote to gaming and I'll be damned if I want to waste it wandering around in a virtual space doing fuck all. If I'm going to do that it I have much more enticing virtual spaces to do it in like GTA4, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout3, etc., etc., etc...
Home certainly isn't my bag most the time, but it has free games in it. The EA Sports, Sodium One and Uncharted 2 areas are pretty cool because there's a lot of stuff to do in them. Plus, there's the theater, which occasionally shows free episodes of shows.
The only thing Home needs to do in my eyes is improve loading times. The one thing that usually prevents me from checking it out at least once a month is that I know 3/4ths of my time is going to be spend looking at a progress bar.

Complete bullshit. 12 million is not the number of people on a daily basis, it's the number of people that have used Home, period. Hell, I'm one of them.. because I used it a whole one time. It's purely a marketing number, nothing more.

It was kinda cool to go into the different environments from your favorite games and chat with random weirdos all over the place, but there didn't seem to be much of a point to it. Some of the mini-games would have been awesome if more fleshed out though.

That could be the funniest story of the year....because it is sooo true its ridiculous. HOME is a complete and utter waste of time....to think that SONY actually tried to use it as a selling point for its systems.
I'm not a hater most of the time, but man does Home seem pointless to me. If there was something interesting you could do there it would be neat... of course then I would want Sony to make an app that does only that instead of having to load Home.

Home is good for one thing; Minigames.
Some of them are actually fun and there are quite a few. The problem is that there's almost literally ZERO announcements or advertising to tell people WHERE the semi-fun parts of Home are.
So you can hop on in, choose game spaces at random and watch loading screens for minutes at a time in hopes that you'll stumble onto something fun, or Sony can just find a way to tell us where the fuck the GAMES are!

@phazonyoshi that's a tangible fact, we can all walk out side and see that. but something being "crap" is personal opinion. If he would have backed his statements like i said before then we can see where he's coming from. Paystation home is NOT crap, its fun and engaging. THIS GUY IS BIAS, fuck, this place is full of 360 fan boys !
I think Home is just unwanted. Not that the developers made a crappy product. It is just not what most gamers want to spend their time doing. Walking around a plaza dancing the robot with strangers loses it's charm pretty damn fast. They do have some great ideas in there they are just not executed in a way that gamers want.
