The Destructoid team has been hard at work, keeping Metal Gear fans abreast of any breaking information we can get our hands on, leading up to the June 12th release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get Kojima to spill all of the beans yet, but we believe he will break in time. Glaring robot eyes can be quite menacing.
However, what we can do is draw your attention to the box above, which represents the first time a PS3 has been packaged in white. Does that matter? Not really, but the PlayStation blog thought it was a semi-big deal, so it was at least worth mentioning from our standpoint.
The blog's main mission is to clear up any misconceptions that the lovely Internet may have spawned about the game, and to dazzle you with an array of MGS-inspired pics, all of which can viewed below. You'll notice that Sony has pretty much covered all the bases, and the only thing that's missing is a photograph of Snake/Raiden Underoos. Laugh if you will, but I bet they're coming too. Anyway, if you are still quizzical and feel that you just don't have the total picture ingrained in your psyche by now, stop by the blog and give it a gander. You just might learn something new -- like the fact that they we might be in store for a big surprise, come Monday April 14th.

You got your Beta yet? Cause I'm trying to add that to our usual online shenanigans when it's live.
Most "special surprises" announced by all three companies tend to be underwhelming, but I'm hoping for the best.
Rest assured that I'm ready for that beta, Y0j1mb0. Since we'll all be starting out at the same time, maybe I'll have a better chance at punishing you guys online ;-)
I'd love to join the PS3 crowd's shenanigans though, assuming the European and US Beta is open to one another.
That first picture is some of the stupidest, ugliest boxart I've ever seen, while the one is the middle is beautiful.

You have it all wrong. We love our CBloggers. However, as tips are sent our way, we get to some before others. Just playing a little catch up, and thought I'd post something that people might enjoy. Nothing more...nothing less.
I hate to break it to you, but the blogs are not meant to take the place of front page posts. However, we do try to work hand in hand with them when we can. Forgive us, but sometimes we miss stuff, and in case, I might have done just that.
Seriously, last one with backwards compatibility. That might be the surprise.

Is there any information about that MGS bundle. In other words, is it going to be released in Europe (and the other end of the world, I've got you covered BlackSunEmpire!)? If it is released over here (and there) will that be on MGS releaseday? I would love to get an extra PS3. I currently have 2 of every console I own. I will get an extra PSP soon. Just, to be secure. Plus I love those special editions, like this one.

Lots of times CBLOG's will be featured on the front page if they are good enough/ well written/ good lulz/ interesting.
Gameboi and all the other "Editor" people on dtoid post just as much if not more on the cblogs than they do front page.
Also, I'm liking the box art for the limited edition much more than the standard "look at our fancy graphics" box art.
I hear it's going to make it to the states in *very* limited quantities, so you may just get your gunmetal grey just yet.
I'm waiting to see if this gunmetal one is an 80gig or just a 40gig, I must be one of the 'few' that care about BC in sony's eyes. If it's an 80 gig I'm so getting it, but if it's a 40, I can settle for not having a color to go between my Black 360 and my White wii.
I also care more for BC than gunmetal grey, unfortunately for me neither is available in NZ, and BC might be the only thing I can look forward to.
