PlayStation accessories to be blessed with official seal photo

If you want to make sure your PlayStation peripherals and accessories are like, totally officially official, Sony is making it a lot easier for you now.

Today, the Sony announced the Sony Entertainment Official Licensing Program, which gives third-party licensees “access to technical documentation and technical support to enhance development of a variety of peripherals and accessories.”

Those part of the program can put the OLP logo on the product’s package, as well as other marketing materials. Think of it like the Nintendo Official Seal of Quality, except Sony will be a bit more discriminating with handing it out. We presume.

No peripherals or accessories have been announced that will bear the seal, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled. Because we like quality, and things that are official.

Interesting. But I have to say, it's the "Official Nintendo Seal" now. They dropped the "of Quality" part years ago. Gee, I wonder why. =P

Well it's been apparent which controllers were Sony official ones.

You know, the ones that aren't shit. (excluding Sixaxis, which is cheapo shit)
