Broadband Watch released a report today with some new information on the PlayStation 3 controller's battery. The battery itself is going to be a rechargeable lithium ion battery built into the controller itself as in you can't take it out. The only detriment is that since the battery is built into the controller, once it dies, the controller is dead. The Sixaxis is going to connect to the console via USB cable and it will take about two and a half hours in order to charge it fully. The good news is that the battery life is around
30 hours, so it should last during all of your long gaming sessions.
